Being the 2nd oldest college in India the infrastructure is quiet old and some of the equipment too. The labs need to be set up again and some more recreational activities should me added. The gym is quiet old and more sorts equipments need to be set up.

I am a 1st year student from the Department of Information Technology. Every semester we have 2 exams, mid-sems and end-sems and a few for class tests and practicals. Marks from both the exams are considerd for revaluation of GPA.

Being a 1st year student I haven't had an internship yet, but seeing the seniors we know that some tech Giants come to the college for internships and overall placement rate is pretty good. Though most of the companies are tech based so it's mostly beneficial for the electrical departments, but you should know one thing that this is the 2nd best college in India for civil engineer after IIT kgp.

Tech fest-Instruo Cultural fest-Rebecca These 2 are the major events with many other seminars and fests to keep you going thourough the weekends. Events such as tedX is also hosted, followed by departmental tests, alumni meet, etc.

Being a government institute the fees structure is optimal and also hostel facilities are provided in within the campus. The semester fees is around 72, 000. But many fee waiver schemes are also available for those who cannot afford this amount.

Families with annual income of less than 5 lac can get a 2/3rd fee waiver whereas those with the annual income of less than a lac have full waiver to the college fees. This scholarship schemes has helped many a student's.

No, I am a day scholar. But I do have friends in hostels and have myself stayed in quiet a few times. The hostel facilities I would say are not really that good, it's just enough that you can spaent 4 years in?. Food is pretty bad though, but I guess that's the case everywhere

Seniors are the best thing to the college, you get to meet seniors from all partw of India and basically in every field too. They are very helpful and are there whenever you need them, our seniors have achieved a lot in many fields. They basically are the ones who run the college.

This college takes on admission based on the jee mains marks(percentile). After results you have to go thourough the councelling process where you get a seat in specilific branch based in your rank and your priority list.

The faculty is pretty good with a sufficient student to professor ratio. Most of the professors hold a PhD degree and many research scholar work under them. Though not excellent but the faculty is getting better with the passing time provided that the college has been recently given the status of an INI, it's getting better day by day.
