We worked in the associated sucheta kriplani and associated hospitals our stipend was fixed by the govt of India at Rs 2400 per monththere are no recruitment from campus of medical colleges.

Placement Experience

2

There are no recruitment o replacement from medical colleges, partly because alone MBBS does not prove adequate in treating pts, doing post graduation and or super specialisation is a must to get job offers.

College Events

3.5

There is an annual college festival in lady Hardinge medical college students from other medical college participate in the cultural activities and competitions including debates and plays.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Lady hardinge medical college being a govt aided medical college the fees are very nominal and most students can pay the fees besides there were students from backward classes who were further subsidised the fees at the time of my graduation was about rs 1200 per annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

I found the fees to be nominal so did not look around for any scholarship or loans there was annual scholarship to top 5% of students which was Rs 150 pm i got that scholarship in the second professional which is about 20 months so lump sum of Rs 3000.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life wasvibrant with 24 hours library, cafeteria being a women's college it was lot safer to venture out in the campus even in the night. Hostel parties were common and all inmates were close atleast those in the same wing conferences were common in the big auditorium in the campus and lot of cultural activities including spic macay programs were held a lot of women from states that did not have medical college were enrolled in the college, especially from north east and all those girls were part of group by the time mbbs was over no discrimination was seen in the campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

There was hostel on the campus and undergraduates were sharing the rooms two students in one room the space was about 15 feet by 12 feet, with separate beds, study table and almirahshostel fees was about Rs 200 per month there was a common mess, serving both veg and non veg meals the food was cooked in the hostel and monthly about 500-600 Rs were charged for vegetarian meal.

Alumni/Alumna

All my seniors helped me in my professional and personal matters during college days and now as alumni they took care of me when i was ill and admitted, they told me hat to study and referenced the important topicsthe bonding is so good that naturally people helpand feel happy if they come to know that i am also from LHMC.

Exam Structure

There is a quarterly exam which is counted in internal assessment followed by the professional exams every 18 months which are necessary to pass to go to the next professionals.

Faculty

4.5

All the faculty members are learned and respected members of doctor community they are always engaged in research and clinical professors were guest invitees to other medical colleges and considered authorities in their respective subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum has been revised in 2019 and the new curriculum (CBME: Competency-Based Medical Education) is all about patient-based approach and clinical approach which is very amazing since that's how we'll be dealing with patients in real life. The faculty of Lady Hardinge is amazing as long as you're willing to learn. The practical sessions especially are the best since you get to see everything you've learnt in theory. The syllabus is very vast and it's very difficult but you can do fairly well if you go through it consistently. The term exams are held before each semester and after every year you need to give professional exams also known as 'proffs'. You'll have to pass the proffs in order to be promoted to next year which is very easy if you have a grip on the basics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college has 4 to 5 permanent faculties and 2 faculty from the base hospital Delhi Cantt. in each department. That is 1 teacher for approx 15 students. The teachers are all super specialised in their respective fields and mostly all are very efficient in teaching while following the latest MCI guidelines. there are a total of 4 exams a student has to give mid-term, end terms, pre-proof and proofs. The exams are all designed to ensure that the passing students are eligible to be called doctors but not so tough as to fail a lot of students. An average result has about 15 fails in 100 students

I did my MBBS from NDMC Medical College which was worth it. The college has great education system with a good faculty and nice campus with a green cover. The college has a hostel but it is not as good so I would recommend staying outside campus. The training programmes and practicals bring in depth to studying at this college.

Remarks:

There is no negative news about this college, everything is best here. Few points on aiims -*College management is also perfect. *Faculty members never tried to shun their responsibilities with respect to teaching, research and patient care. Senior students were required to teach their juniors on a regular basis, even in OT's (operation theatre). *Get together were organised during celebrations of important festivals which included admitted patients. All religions were given importance.
