Jai Hind, Mission Statement to be the institution of choice for students and employers alike, known for producing good citizens and leaders by providing a well rounded education of international standards. This statement is very true & apt for Jai Hind college.

Entrance Preview

After completing my SSC exams i joined jai hind college churchgate in arts faculty i always wanted to do arts from this college itself as i wanted to be a teacher.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum and faculty at Jai Hind is very good the professors & staff are very co-operative as well as disciplined which maintains the college discipline all professors take their lectures regularly & try to make the most boring topic interesting for the students.

Internships Opportunities

I have not done internship from Jai hind college i had taken up part majors in psychology & history as i want to take teaching as my career.

Placement Experience

I am not aware about the the placements & job opportunities at jai hind college as i had taken up part majors in psychology & history as i want to take teaching as my career i only completed my graduation from jai hind college then did my teacher's training course from another institute.

Jai Hind has many College festival like Hindi Parishad:The event featured the real talent of studentsin field of singing, fashion show, indian and western dancing, beat-boxing, ramping and mock show.Talaash:"Talaashﾔ, known to be the benchmark amongst all BMS festivals in the city is one of the biggest BMS management festival organized by Jai Hind College, Mumbai.

I do not remember of any good Scholarships/loans available at jai hind.

Jai hind has many societies like sexual harassment rohibition committee the aim of the sexual harassment prohibition committee is to prevent sexual harassment of women employees at workplace. The entrepreneurship cell he entrepreneurship cell of Jai hind college aims and encourages entrepreneurial growth and development in campus we impart knowledge and skills to help out our students to expand their horizons and get more familiar with the ﾓEntrepreneur Style of Workingﾔ. Nature club, Women's Development Cell Report for Students Council, Library & Reading Room Committee any many more.

Hostel Facilities

The hostels, the fees, the mess food at Jai hind is good & reasonable to suit the pockets of all students. The canteen holds fond memories of long hours of lukhagiri, spent joking and chatting, unconsciously making friends for life the canteen would stay open with students from various streams congregating over semi-chilled soft drinks and sandwiches.

I like that my colleg is better in management which is good for every student of the college in the sence
Some times management also fails for doing some things which are not big things because there are some technical issues
College hepls every student in the issues sometime it takes time but the solve tue problems of every students

Dislikes

I dislike that some times college staf is just listining not doing any thing
They should help every student with the responsible things for
That why students dislike some things in the college management

There are companies which comes through the college and help out the students with their placements from the companies it has every singel test how students perform in their task and skills that how the placement is described

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

For a person who into music production this is the best course and College but any other music field consider other options. The administration is too poor and are harsh on the students but the teaching faculty is supportive.

For getting admission, I visited the college and fill the form received from the admission counter which is generally released in the first or second week of the June and submitted the form after filling in and signing it duly and submitted it to the same counter(which can also be submitted till the third week of the June) and so I got admission.

Live your Dharma Dreams at Jai Hind College

I had applied for St Xavier's College Mumbai and Mithibai College Mumbai. I got into St Xavier's and decided to not go ahead with the admission because of the nature of the curriculum offered there. According to me, BMM is a practical course and requires practical knowledge and experience that Xavier's college couldn't offer. Their course is more theoretical in nature hence I choose Jai Hind over Xavier's.
