Remarks
A very good college to build your personality, your attitude, your contacts. Your CV would be filled with a lot of achievements other than just marks. A negative remark would be curriculum things are not very strict here and not too qualitiative. If this is improved, it would probably be the best college in Maharashtra atleast.
Course Curriculum Overview
I feel my college along with curricular activities, focuses more on extra curricular activites, participates in varuous events organised by colleges throughout mumbai and almost wins every event. Curriculum is completed well on time by qualified professional teachers (yes there are few exceptions) but overall, curriculum wise i would rate 7/10 but for extra curricular, i would rate 10/10.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell at HR colege organised by students and helped by one or two senior faculties. Having tie up with big 4's and many mid as well as small size firms, it gives us variety of placement options to choose from. Also, firms prefer to choose HR'ites over other college students. I havent taken placement from this cell.
College Events
Each and every festival is celebrated at our college. Tech events take place frequently and students are creative enough to find out new idea every tine. We have been awarded too for many vrilliant ideas. Culutural day is celevrated. It participates in many other fests such as Umang, Malhar, Kaleidoscope and so on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our college is aided college and hence the fee structure, no need to describe, is the minimal. Fee for only IT subject is a bit high (maybe 2000-3000). Otherwise, its not more than 1000 for all subjects together. Also girls can avail scholarships which reduces their fees to less than 400 rupees annually.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
I havent opted for any scholarships but all the girls are eligible to avail *girls freeship* scholarship scheme where in their fees are reduced from approximately 1000rs to almost 300-400 rupees. In case of prizes, students get trophies and certificates but rarely any cash prizes.
Campus Life
To be honest, our college is all about campus life rather than studies. Campus life includes extra curricular activites too. There is no attendance issue (unofficially, officially it is) as such in our college. Gender ratio is 50:50. There are no labs or sports rooms or and even campus is small, yes this could be a negative point. But students have proved to be best even with limited facilities.
Hostel Facilities
No I havent opted for hostel. What will i write 200 characters here. Please keep an option of yes or no and if yess then keep this condition of 200 characters. Forced to write. I m residemt of mumbai and i dont need a hostel or a PG or anything.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes i have contact with few alumnis whom i had contacted prior to taking admission here. All gave me a positive review which motivated me to take admission here. They all wrre indeed very helpful. There is an alumni meet also held maybr once a year or so. Students build a good character here and hence they all would be obviously helpful.
Admission
I got admission in FYJC approx 3-4 months after SSC examination. As i had quiet good percentage, i got selected in first merit list itself iut of the three merit lists. Admission process is completely online. Offline admissions only if seats remain vacant after three merit lists
Faculty
Most of the faculties are well qualified and teach the syllabus really very good. Some faculties which i experienced are not upto the mark in a way that they could teach the syllabus part properly but might not be able to clear out of the book doubts. As a whole, i wouldnt say best facultiea but ya quiet good.
