My College

College is good but getting into the hostels is real heck of a thing. Hostels are few. you may have to live out of College premises. the infrastructure of College is decent. You may find that there are not much cultural programmes.

Old fashioned teaching although teachers are good. The courses are taught with the research point of view. Exams are very frequent. You may not get chance to settle.so be always on your toes. Labs are frequent.

Frankly speaking placement in civil department is very low so you either opt for gate or ias prep. you may also join the coding field and sit in placement interviews. College do provides internship but as I said there are very few job opportunities.

There are frequent tech fest as well as tutorials on coding, machine learning, IoT etc. It's not that big event. However there is an annual cultural fest. Participation is huge. A lot of students across all departments come together.

Fee structure is feasible. The fee of College is about 9000 annual but the other expense of living outside College premises may cost you a bit. If you live in a decent area the cost may be around 7000- 8000

Although the fee of College is low. There are few scholarships given on basis of your performance in acedemics and your family financial status. you may opt for scholarships given by jamia alumni and jamia teacher association.

With respect to other engineering College the gender ratio is good. In other courses its much better. Societies are not much active but you can meet people who can guide you. I haven't seen discrimination on basis on religion,caste or sex.

Hostels are very few.if you happen to get into one feel yourself lucky. I have been to hostels. A room is shared by 3 person. Food is decent. If you don't get a hostel you may have leave outside. Rental fee may vary from 1500-3000 depending on the area.

Seniors are helpful but there not much interaction with seniors or alumni because of lack of accommodation facilities. If you happen to know any senior in the College that will really help you in your acedemics, internship purpose.

Admission is simple in btech.you just have to fill the form. A merit list will be declared on basis of your jee mains score. There is no separate exam for getting admission. You have to keep in mind the order preference of your stream. Once you have filled your preference you can't change it.

Well if are in civil department get ready to have too much classes. The teacher in the department are very much eager to teach and you may rarely get a off class. I haven't got in my two years. So you can make out how eager the teacher's are.
