Remarks

All facilities are excellent there is no problem at all either with the faculties nor with the management. We didn't have a chance to interact with management as all the problems were taken care of by the department HoD and staffs itself. Overall Mechanical department is truly Royalmech.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Faculties were very knowledgeable and they were very innovative. We have not only studied, but they also encouraged us to be apart of conference, seminars and symposium too. Took to bannariyamman steel plant and many other industries. Overall it was gr8 experience to be at NHCE and we are proud to be NHCE.

Placement Experience

5

Yes, we did internship in HAL and, any other students did in other industries too. We had got Wipro, Infosys, DELL and many more companies for recruitment. Initially, there was HR round, GD, Technical writing and oral interview and then again HR. Around 60-70% in 2008 and heard now it's almost 82-85%. Yes, now they are conducting placement classes right from 6th sem itself like soft skills, technical and many more.

College Events

5

International conference more than 150 participates present their technical papers and top best papers get published in journals. Project exhibition - more than 120 batches. Mini project exhibition - more than 300 batches. Sargam inter-college fest - more than 1200 colleges participate. Club activities - 20 batches.

Fee Structure And Facilities

KCET 38590 In 2003 - 2008. Admission fee of 12000. No additional fees were collected for securing the seats in 2003. We used to get a detailed receipt after the payment of fees. There was no problem as I faced on those days and even now students are having the same opinion I guess.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, the college offered sponsorship for the students who had topped in the course like full fees way off or like 50% way off.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio in college was almost 60-40 male and female respectively. No racism no ragging. Very strict and dignified way of culture. I heard hostel wardens were good and strict at the same time too. The library was kept open up to 8 pm on regular days and at the time of exams, it was 24 hrs.

Alumni/Alumna

As I am the senior person in the dept I get invitation from dept side for guest talks, technical and motivational talks and yes I have been part of it many times. I have been as a jury member for the project and mini-projects exhibition.

Admission

It was convenient and good infrastructure and placements were good. After getting seat allotment from Kcet, approached NHCE admission department, paid all the necessary fees and got admitted. Visited department and met HoD Dr K V Mahendra sir as our batch was the first batch just wanted to see the lab setup and other things.

Faculty

5

That time in 2003 there was around 10 prof and all were Masters in design, thermal, manufacturing and so on. Min 2 years of teaching or industry experience. Yes. Prof. Manjunatha and Prof. Ravi were from industry and few more. All of them was very knowledgeable and research-oriented faculties. We didn't feel as we r the first batch students. Thanks to Dr K V Mahendra sir and other professors too.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
