Remarks
Absolutely no negative remarks, this is the best college in India. In every aspects it surpasses the NIT's and few IIT's. Which in itself is something to be proud of. This much facilities and all under a single roof. Also the college is in between the city, rather than outside city as most of the colleges are. A metro city like Kolkata, The city of Joy. to roam around.
Course Curriculum Overview
Well I am a very fun-loving person and yeah thats true and this college provides me all facilities to make it possible. There is absolutely NO ATTENDANCE required in Theory classes in whole JU. Only you need to attend 3-4 labs in whole week and that's all. That gives you a lot of time for research work. There are 100+ papers published each year making it a nest of research field. Talking about exams there are 2 Class tests (CT's) and 1 semester exam Which occur having 2 months break each semester.
Placement Experience
The placement season goes round the year for the final year students. Last year the highest package was 39 LPA of one of my senior. The average package was 12. 04 LPA and all got placed(100% placement) along with it more than 50% of them got double, triple and tetra offers from different companies. This is the best college in India in every aspect The total fees is around Rs 10k (Yes Ten Thousand ONLY. ) for the whole engineering which is the cheapest engineering college in whole India. Yes They provide Internship to students, for that people have to drop emails to respective HOD's of Departments and wait for their reply. Also the stripend is Rs 10k/month.
College Events
The technical events are happened every year it's name is SRIJAN, it is a 3 day event where people from whole India come to participate in events. Sanskriti (Cultural Fest) of Jadavpur University is one of the biggest fest of India where performers are called from many different countries and from India also. CIIPPUS(freshers) of the college where the freshers are welcomed by the seniors every year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is the best here. It's just Rs 10k(Ten thousand INR only). Which is the cheapest engineering college in India with World Class Facilities. The hostel fees total is Rs 1500-2000 per month (including food and electricity and Internet and all) included. In other engineering college of India you have to spend more than Rs 3 lakhs a year for just fees, here we are completing whole engineering in just Rupees 10, 000/-. CHEAPEST Engineering College of India Having NIRF(Engineering ) Rank 14.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have got full scholarship based on my father's annual income and I don't have to pay my fees. This is done by applying in the National Scholarship Portal and the interview is scheduled and once it is done. The person receives the rebate and doesn't have to pay even a single penny.
Campus Life
The sports facility is well equipped with all the necessary things required. eg:- A National Level Cricket Pitch where International players are often seen. A football ground, basketball court and all the things are provided. The labs are equipped with latest softwares and the full campus is WiFi covered. There is Mountain climbing club, coding club, photographic club and many others, you just have to name it and it is present.
Hostel Facilities
Every one has single room, having personal LAN connection also a public WiFi connection. The Mess is functional also on holidays. There is all indoor games facility provided, along with gym and all outdoor games equipment present. The total monthly fess for staying in hostel is Rs 1500-2000 / month. With this much less fess and these many facilities. I am proud to say that. This is the best place for Engineering.
Alumni/Alumna
All the alumni are connected by a Facebook group and you just have to ask and everyone is present to help you they will help you. The seniors and us have such a bond with us that we take all the help from them, the notes the guidelines and all the things from them which help us to perform well in exams. The seniors are always available as we all stay in hostel whenever required we can ask them.
Admission
I studied in Kota and had JEE mains AIR 12k and JEE Advanced AIR 9k so with this AIR I was getting Metallurgy in some IIT or a Electrical or Mechanical in some NIT, also I gave WBJEE exam (for admission in Jadavpur University) where I got 642 rank, also the IIT's which I wass getting had NIRF ranking above 15 and all NIT's are below Jadavpur University in NIRF ranking, hence I chose to take BE in Information Technology Enginnering. Simply giving the WBJEE exam and getting the counselling done will get you Jadavpur University.
Faculty
The faculty are having more than 20 Years of teaching experience and most of them are graduates from IIT's, the teachers use the latest technologies to teach us and which is the most interesting. The labs are well equipped with the necessary software's and the lab staffs are familiar with the course and help in every possible ways. The professors help the students personally if they face any problem, overall the faculty are very friendly and help students.
