Remarks

Amity University Kolkata is full of mystries which can be solved only if you join us. We all know college life is the best part of every persons life. The best place for it is Amity Univeristy. Its the best in all perspective as per my view. Academics is satisfactory and must be improved by adding good experienced faculties in future.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

In amity university kolkata, fees is high but campus infrastructure is perfect and a dream place for every student. But if focused in academics,i can say almost all students have their special specializations in desired fields, either in academics or other activities. Here students are given perfect opportunities to showcase themselves. Not all professors are good but some are gold and very good.Pursuing btech in amity kolkata is quite good for me.Lets se what happens in the last year,i am in 6 h semester and i am giving my best as i can.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placements are uncertain. Some year its more than 10lac for many and some year very few get placed in campus,so they try off campus.Cgpa is very essential criteria for sitting in placements here.Good companies do come but hire very few of them.Even tcs didnt mass recruited this year and very selective this year.Coming to internships, yes they do provide internships and also give us projects(NTCC) which is a part of our every odd semesters. Each student works under guidance of alloted faculty.

College Events

5

Amity university Kolkata is full of events.Every day we see new events happening around our campus.Major event is Amiphoria which is organized by Amity itself every year and is very grand. In Amiphoria all students participate is desired activities such as singing, dance, sports etc and are rewarded.Celebrities do visit out campus very often.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its quite expensive compared to other colleges but worth it.Its not like other colleges. Here everything is well structured and maintainance is the main purpose here.Campus is very clean and tidy.Classrooms are five stars. We have a CCD in our campus.Entire campus is Air Conditioned and fire secured.Hostels are much expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got 25% scolarship in 1st year for my 12th boards marks in maths, physics, chemistry. They say if i keep my rank in top 5 i can continue my scholarship and few of my friends got 100% scholarship for 2 years.Loan can be availed easily and is easily available.

Campus Life

5

Sanghatan is a major event organized every year for sports and is played between intercolleges. The main event iof sanghatan is organized in Amity Noida where students play there finals.Where as other activities like singing, dance, skits etc comes under Amiphoria which is organized every year by Amity University itself and is grand.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are very expensive, for year its more than 1lakh only for stay, food seperately.Hostels are highly strict. Its good for girls rather than boys. There is no ragging.Overall its okay but not the best. Its better to stay in pgs nearby the campus.I stay in pg now.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are gentle and helpful. There is no senior junior here. All students are equally seen.We all are like brothers and sisters. They are us.No ragging is performed. We all share same platform and are very mutually interractive with each other. There is no barricade between us.We all like to be gentle with everyone.

Admission

After 12th i read about Amity University and found it the best according to my needs.I first applied for amity university online through its website and later gave its entrance exam and i got selected.I even got 25% scholarship for first two semester because of my total marks scored in 12th(maths/physics/chemistry).It was a dream come true.

Faculty

4

In my course(btech cse) faculties are of different type. Some are very very good in all aspects whereas some are worst.Attendance is a major criteria here which is 75% for sitting in end semester which is quiet high to maintain.

Placement Experience:

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft. The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles, finance in some cases. The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.
