Is Amity University Kolkata good for BTech CSE ?

Amity University Kolkata is a private institution situated in Kodampukur and was established in 2015. The university provides a wide variety of courses in different streams such as Science, Business and Management Studies, Engineering, Law, IT and Software, Arts, etc. BTech in CSE is one of the courses provided by the institute. The following are the factors that one should consider before joining CSE in Amity University Kolkata: Fee Structure Since the institute is private the fee structure is not quite affordable for the middle class family. The institute comprises students from the upper-middle class and high-class families. The course fee for BTech CSE is Rs 1, 05, 500 per annum. Admission and Scholarship The students are supposed to attend Amity Joint Entrance Examination and their scores in the 12th standard are also a deciding factor to grab the seats in CSE or in any branch the students are interested in. The scholarship facilities are offered to the students on the Merit list. Those students who scored above 90 percent in the 12th board examination could avail a 50 percent reduction from total fees and those students score 80 percent could avail a 25 percent reduction from total fees. This is available only in the first year. The students should maintain good CGPA to get the fee reduction throughout the course period. Faculties Faculties are quite well experienced and supportive. Most of them either hold a Ph.D. or pursuing it presently. The faculties create an interactive atmosphere and employ different teaching methods which enhances the clarity of concepts taught. Infrastructure and laboratories The institute was established in 2015. So, the infrastructure has a freshly built exterior. The CSE laboratories are fully furnished with brand new computers. But the labs are small. Placement All the placement activities are channeled from Amity University’s Noida campus. The highest salary package offered was Rs 28 lakhs and the average salary package was Rs 4 lakhs. Major companies in which the students placed were Amazon, Byju’s, L & T Infotech, ITC, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid:

The total fees that I'm paying is around is 10Lakhs. This is because I got the scholarship on the basis of my 12th marks. But the total actual fees is around 12,50,000 and there is also one time security deposit of 20,000, which will be refunded after graduation. There is no any other hidden fees like registration fee, admission fee, development fee, lab fees. All the students are paying the total fee of 12,50,000 (hostel not included). But, they provide a scholarship on the basis of your 12th percentage. Like if you are having more than 85% in your 12th boards then you will definitely get the scholarship of 25%, if you are having more than 90% then you will get scholarship of 50% and if you are having more than 95% then you will get 100% scholarship.

Sweet and bitter

20k security fee and around 1.2 lakh each semester till date I have paid around 4 lakh since I'm a 2nd year student . The feeling structure can be and fee details can be found on the official site of our university.

We are paying ?2,56,000 per year and it increases by about 7% every year. Every B.Tech student pays the same fees except if they are a sponsored student. Sponsored students are eligible for upto 100% fee exclusion.

Actually in our university we need pay our fees through semester wise: 1st and 2nd sem-170000/- 3rd and 4th sem-123000/- 5th and 6th sem-129000/- 7th and 8th sem-135000/- There is no other additional fees that we need to pay rather than this tution fees which is the all total semester fees. Some of my batchmates having 10-30% off in each year based on their CGPA. Students can apply for SVMCM whose percentage is more than 60% and they will get an amount of 60000/- per year.

It's a nice college

For B.Tech CSE the approximate fees for 4 years is 10 to 12 lakhs. There are 3 types of scholarships 25%,50% and 100%. You'll get 100% scholarship if you've scored above 9.8CGPA. As of now there are no campus employment opportunities known to me.

Fees are 2.34 lacs for 1st year 2.46 lacs for 2nd year 2.58 lacs for 3rd year and 2.80 lacs for last year After the course completion they provide good placements and internship opportunities and make you ready for the corporate world

The exam schedule and holiday lists can be provided a bit early for the students

The fees is pretty affordable compared to other private colleges. We are charged almost 1.2 lacs per semester, with the price increasing by about 5000 per year. The complete cost comes around 13 to 14 lacs for 4 years. The hostel is an extra 1.2 lacs per year. There are multiple scholarship options which can be easily searched online. Even if one is not eligible for scholarship at the start, with enough merit, one can earn upto 30% scholarship.

The class timings are very odd... sometimes there is a gap of almost 3 hours between 2 classesv
No proper schedule is provided also at times classes are scheduled few hours prior

The semester fees is around 1 lakh 20 thousand for every semester.scholarship is provided to students who have scored well in class 12th exams.Also for students who score good in semester exam are eligible for availing scholarship

The library has a lot of books available related to each and every course

At times during the first few semester you can have as much as 9 classes in a single day

The total tution fees is around 10 lakhs. Scholarship is provided mostly on the basis of class 12th result and then you can continue it by scoring well in the semester exams.I don't know much about the placement history as it is not mentioned anywhere not even on their website

Fee structure is fixed 1 semester you have to 1 lakh 11 thousand and 20 thousand for security after that in every even sem there will increase of fees 5000 there is scholarship if you get above 90 percent in boards then you have 60 percent fees
