Remarks

Our university need to cope with the technology. Though it is a very reputed college it needs to adapt to the changes. Though pursuing a course in such an esteemed college has its perk but even then the lack of extracurricular activities makes us regret sometimes our decision of joining this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course curriculum is built in such a way that at the end of 4 years a graduating student is self sufficient to cope with the modern competitive environment. Labs occur at around 3-4 days per week. Overall the schedule is good.

Placement Experience

5

Yes our college provides opportunities for internship. Interviews take place for these and those selected in these interviews do internship in the next year. The interview consists of A competitive programming round and an interview round.

College Events

1

There are five mains fests in our college. Some are celebrated in our salt lake campus and some in the main campus. CIIPPUS if for freshers. We have a tech fest named SRIJAN which organises many competitions and is fun to take part in.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very much feasible. The I. T. course has a fee structure of Rs 30,050 for an year while non I. T. courses have a fee structure of Rs2500 for an year. JU believes in one thing that is money should never become a barrier for a student in his/her education.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a freeship program for students whose family income is less than Rs2. 5 lakhs per annum. Full fees is waived for them. But the students need to provide proof of that via income certificate. The college helps as much as it can.

Campus Life

2.5

Extracurricular is not prevalent in our salt campus. There is nothing in the sense of extracurricular. We dont even have a proper basketball court. We just have a ground called CAB which everone boasts of but the truth is there is nothing for extracurricular.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes Jadavpur University has a very strong alumni network. Students of jadavpur university have excelled in various field. Some even got 100 percentile in CAT examinations which is pretty tough. The seniors too are very helpful and are very friendly.

Admission

To get admission in Jadavpur University one has to give WBJEE conducted by the west bengal board of education. WBJEE is a very competitive examination and one has to achieve good marks and rank in that exam to get into JU.

Faculty

4

Its not great but not bad either. Okayish. It can be improved a lot. Nevertheless the teachers are very helpful and they try to help and reach out to the students as much as they can. In terms of qualification not much qualified teachers are there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else
