Remarks

Motilal Nehru college is not the Best college in Delhi University but certainly above the average. The college is generally peace loving. Lot has happened in Delhi but nothing bad is reflected amongst the students of Motilal Nehru college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

In the course like physics hons you have lot of work to do in labs. I personally loves the lab. Physics is my love. In my college we have 3 separate labs for physics course. One is computarised which is for the practical purpose of scilab and c++ And the other two are physical labs which have all other practical to do. In lab we have separate practical teachers which is quite good. For exams we have to give theory exams as well as practical exams. Practical exams start before theory. In practical exams we have external teacher who comes to take Viva and general tests. For selection of questions generally a lucky draw happens. For the theory exams the course is divided in 5 sems which have generally two core courses every semester and other changes semester Bias. Final result is declared after combining theory and practical results.

Placement Experience

4.5

College have a placement cell. This year from August -October KPMG, EY, PwC and many other companies visited the campus for Placement with the average of 3.3-3.5 LPA. They also provide Internships and Workshops. I was Summer Intern at Sharekhan and also done workshop at NSE. They offer internships in good companies like OYO, Yes Bank, etc.

College Events

4.5

In college we have lots of events. In almost every DU college there are society such as dance society, cultural society and they celebrate their own events but there are two main events PHOENIX(The Annual Fest)- This is a five day Youth and Cultural festival which involves participation from the various DU colleges. Each year the festival involves over 200 creative arts, cultural, and community groups making MLNC Fest one of the grandiose cultural affairs in the Delhi University KAAFILA(The Cultural Fest)- It is a grand two days Annual Fest which attracts students not only from Delhi University but also from various other Universities. This includes competitions in the field of Dramatics, Music, Dance, Fashion and various other artistic performances. But that's not all, it also boasts of cultural events like performances by leading artists and renowned Rock Bands.

Fee Structure And Facilities

In comparison to the other colleges the fee here in motilal Nehru college is payable but is increasing continuously in the first year of my course I had to pay less than Rs. 5000 a year which increased to Rs. 7500 in second and almost Rs 10,000 in third year which is why protest are happening everywhere in Delhi for fee hikes.

Fees and Financial Aid

Unfortunately the hostel facility is not available in Motilal Nehru college. But there are lots of PG's available in nearby areas which generally costs Rs.5000 to. 10k per student varies according to the facility. Along with the PG's lots of students prefer taking rented room and for food there are lot of hotels available in the nearby areas.

Campus Life

5

Extracurricular activities are good. In Motilal Nehru college we have dance society Electra which is amongst the top of Delhi University. We have music society and Abhivyanjana the debate society who organizes various competitions. Lab facility is also good. The library here is awesome. In sports motilal Nehru college is above average. Football team of Motilal Nehru college is among the best of Delhi teams. Various other sports the college is doing really good. The college is peace loving we all study happily and there is almost nothing like gender inequality, casticism, racism etc.

Alumni/Alumna

College doesn't have any alumni network. The senior here are very helpful. You interact with seniors even before taking admission they provide very helpful support during admission. Mainly the interaction between juniors and seniors happen during elections.

Admission

Motilal Nehru college is a college of Delhi University and to get admission in the college the admission process is completely online. Usually after the board results are out the online application begins. In the application you have to submit your basic details such as your basic details and photograph class 10 and 12th certificate. After the registration process is over every college of DU declares cut of list(merit list). One who clears the cut of list a course is eligible to take admission in case of physics hons PCM percentage were considered. Now the next step is to take all documents along with form and visit the college within admission hours and complete the admission. One day was given to me for submission of fee.

Faculty

In my college the faculty is awesome. I come from village where the teacher's are so rued but here in college the teacher's are so much helpful. Even they are always ready to ask them anything out of the classes also. They are well educated. We have two teachers for every subject

I will rate 10 out of 7 to this course curriculum because in this course the experiment and lab works is too low as compare to another courses like biomedical science, bsc zoology and many more. But it's ok I'm happy with this course.
