Remarks
One thing is that college give us very less margin of time for any notifications given from university if it is changed and if the placements for core branches are taken a bit more seriously then no doubt TMSL will be the best college in saltlake.
Course Curriculum Overview
The things that are been taught in class are very much practical orientated that helps us to understand more accurately. Courses are well categorised. The exams are also taken such that students have to study the whole year. Questions are also good enough and challenging too.
Placement Experience
Placements are good enough for the IT oriented departments, in that case core departments are lagging. And yes college also get us into industrial trainings but most of them are unpaid internships. Though the experience is very much important and if someone do those internships sincerely surely it will help in the interview.
College Events
There are many events celebrated in college. In the departmental fests there are cricket badminton carrom football singing competitions and many other fun games, In the tech fests there are coding competition robotics gaming competition etc with a great amount as prize.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is moderate. The 1st semester fees are the higher as they include the charge of uniform bags and library in that, except this other semester fees are not that much higher, even a student from middle class family also can afford that.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes there are a number of scholarships. 1st of all vivekananda merit scholarship that is provided to those students who possess good credit points(65%)in semester and from poor background. 2ndly kanyashree is also provided for the meritorious girls with same criteria.
Campus Life
There are plenty of extra curriculum activities and as they possess credit points so one have to take part in any of them. Even I have taken part in them and they are very much fun. The labs are well equipped and lab assistants are also very capable at what they are doing.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are available only for girls, not much far from college, but there is no hostel for boys. And hostel fee is also not much higher and the hostel is ragging free with 24×7 water supply and also food been provided there.
Alumni/Alumna
College is free from ragging just because seniors are very good. A number of things we can learn from them and they don’t even bother to help you. They also groom us for many curriculum activities. If anything is needed we contact our seniors first.
Admission
I appeared for WBJEE examination and secured a rank of 10000, when the admission portal was opened I searched for college that suits my ranking. When the selection results were out I found that I got techno main saltlake and civil engineering as my department.
Faculty
Faculty is very much expertised in what they are doing. They don't force us for completing the syllabus but they try to make us understand whatever they are teaching. They make us think like an actual professional one.
