Remarks

First of all above everything our college is providing education at very much low cost compared to other institutes, even other government funded colleges. But there's a whole lot to improve in every department starting from Infrastructure, Extracurriculars, food, social activities and etc. Our college attracts most of the students from remote and sub-urban locations, so education for all those people are like blessings for life.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

All the courses offered by our college is under the famous University of Calcutta. The University of Calcutta came out on the number one spot among the state run Universities in a current survey. The courses are good and gives you elaborate knowledge about the subjects. But the courses could be more practical oriented than that of now. The exams are conducted by the University where the exam were held in nearby colleges. All over the course and exam patterns are really good just a little bit more practicality will be the next step forward.

Placement Experience

0.5

Our college does not provide any internships. In the 3 years of my course only one time TCS came in our college for recruitment, even that news wasn't properly spread in the college. But as our college mostly offers under graduate courses students do not choose the college for placement or internship facilities.

College Events

3

1. Freshers 2.Social Function 3. Saraswati Puja 4. College sports 5. Independence Day 6. Republic Day 1. A fresher's party is organised by the students union members, where they greet the new students and try to make them one of their own. 2. The social function is also organised by the student's union. This includes a day of cultural activities, performances and the 2nd day is like a party where every body enjoys. 3. Like any other institute in West Bengal saraswati puja is also celebrated in our college. 4. College sports event also has 2 days. 1st day for the qualifying rounds and 2nd day for the finals. 5. Flag Hoisting and speeches from students and professors are common in the Independence day and Republic day events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible or I should say that very much affordable. Even students coming from less financially stable families can easily opt for any Under graduate or Post graduate course in our college. I must mention that it is a government funded college.

Fees and Financial Aid

There wasn't any loan or scholarship facilities offered by the college. Although I received scholarship from government and I had every required documents and papers without any hassle from my college regarding the government scholarship I was eligible for.

Campus Life

3

There are labs present for the subjects that requires the same. I as a B.COM Student got to use the computer lab as it was a subject in my course. Other than that there were biology & chemistry lab within the college premises. Our college always participated in inter college sports tournaments organized by the University of Calcutta. I also represented my college football team for two successive years. Volleyball, Atheletics,Kabaddi were the other sports in which our college participated.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the seniors aren't even attached with the college. The college union is filled with people who just can't finish their courses. They are affecting the college like parasites. If this problem gets sorted then the alumni and senior students may get a chance to help the junoirs to succeed and take forward the heritage of the college.

Admission

As stated above the admission process is based on the Merit list process. So after the result of 12th I filled up the college admission form online. After 7-8 days the merit list got out and then the admission process started. There was an interview at the time of admission which was taken by one of the faculties of our department.

Faculty

4

Faculty of college were great during the time I spent in the college. Supportive, encouraging towards extra curriculars. Extremely knowledgeable people they are. But for all the departments the number of professors are very much low, so more people needed for the betterment of the college. The teacher per student ratio is too high to provide adequate attention to the students regularly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is of course outdated. Teaching methods are old. No case studies, competitions or project of any sort is there in the curriculum. Although a project of 100 marks is there in the final sem, but I don't think that's enough. There is no practicality in the curriculum and usability in career. The syllabus really needs an uplifment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is average , I chose this course because I wanted to do an honours degree and I'm from commerce background so my first pick was B.Com . They really put efforts to prepare students for well future , as I said earlier some teachers are genuinely very good helpful supporting and good at what they do . Something they need to approve is the 70% attendance criteria, I think they need to understand not every student is just persuing graduation they are doing some other courses or jobs etc so they can't maintain 70% attendance . The frequency of timing is average

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum is Comprehensive, focused equally on Academics and Practical Exposure.. I chose because of that extra year of research I can choose to do in my final year (4th year) of graduation and I'll have an Hons. Degree at the end of 4th year of my college... Practical insights makes sure we are being trained to tackle practical world and academic knowledge ensures we are eligible to apply for further Education.. I will say more focus on Practical Exposure and a little extra focus on Sports May Take This Curriculum to a different level..

• The specific aspects of the curriculum are the subjects including in this course are related to the industry that will help students to build their career in this competitive world and I choose the course as I wanted to pursue a professional course after graduation. • The curriculum prepares us pretty well for real world applications as there are subjects like management that helps students to understand things very clearly and apply it in the real world. • The frequency and timing of exams is perfect and my perspective on the difficulty level is that the exams are not at all difficult.
