Likes

Amount of fees charged by the University is very minimum.
The environment of the college where we study.
Behavior of the teachers and the way they teaches us.

Dislikes

Some classrooms are very nasty. Not even good for sitting.
They don't have sufficient computers for students.
They should improve the infrastructure of the college.

Course Curriculum Overview

I like to rate the course curriculum 3 out of 5 . Some subjects helps us to prepare for real-world applications or further academic pursuits but some subjects are really baseless for us. We get 6 months to prepare ourselves for a semester. I think the exams become difficult for the question patterns.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 4000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

There are 6 semester in our 3years course divided into 2 semesters per year. per semester charges aprox 2000/-. There are a scholarship named SVMCM is available for the student who can score minimum 60% marks in a semester. My batchmates also pay the same amount for the semester fees.

Campus Life

The college union held an annual function every year and they held a freshers party for every new students. The library is good but they don't have much needed books there. College organised many sports, extracurricular activities in the campus.

Admission

This college is under Calcutta University. This University is well known university in Kolkata. So I chose this college. I got rejections from some colleges because I couldn't scored good marks in H.S standard as per their standard.

Faculty

There are 6 semesters in 3years course divided into 2 semesters per year. I feel the question pattern is way more hard for us. That's why many students failed in the last few semesters. They should prepare a question according to B. Com standards.

Night Life

This is a government college so they don't have any gym, cafeteria. The college opens for 6pm everyday. So I don't have any nightlife experience in or around the campus. But the locality is safe in other time of the day.

Placement Experience:

Idk but i guess students become eligible from 2nd or 3rd sem. Idk what is the company visited but the placements are very good i heard that, avg package varies 2.4 lpa I guess. Right now i am doing internship so as of now i don't have plans.

Students become eligible for campus placements after the 5th semester. A few companies like TCS visit our college every year. The average package offered is around 100000 PA I want to go for higher studies after the degree but I want some real life work experience too.

Placement Experience:

Various companies come to this college for on campus placement Average package= 1000000 Highest package=2200000 Various multi national company and other big and small companies visit this college for on campus placement. Most of the students also get placement opportunities whether large or small package The opportunity is given to all degree whether it be bcom or bcom hons . Any student who does not get placed can easily use the degree to get a high paying off campus placements and to go to any good college or stay in this college for their post graduation.

The course curriculum is backdated and should be improvised as it doesn't give any exposure of present industry knowledge. The frequency of exams is that exams are held after 6 months on semester basis and are easy to pass and majority of the students pass this semester easily.

Quite an Average Government College which lacks in infrastructure, faculty, and placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I mentioned, the course curriculum is outdated and no new industry knowledge is being taught. Projects and assignments are also bookish and are just for sake. Teaching methods by teachers are also bookish and backward. The frequency of exams are after every 6 months and are pretty manageable and easy.

The admission process was very easy, first for eligibility for the course we had to complete our 10th and 12th exams and then we were given a small entrance exam and then we had to clear our payment according to all our courses. All About SDBIC

The college is just beside the main road so no transportation problem. The faculties are good they help us pretty much. The campus is a bit small. Everybody is very good.
