Course Curriculum Overview

The BE MECHANICAL course is a 4-year course divided into 8 semesters.each semester has 2 sessional tests and on final exam.the The marks are calculated for internal and external assessment. internal includes sessionals, quiz and assignments.there are theories as well as practical subjects.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 60000 per year

Placement Experience

For computer science, branch placement is fine but for other branches' poor placement. Mainly IT companies such as Infosys, cognizant, etc come for campus placement

College Events

There are few events held for mechanical, for technical events there are CAD/CAM QUIZ competition and awareness, basically very poor in event arrangements. an annual cultural event is held during October in which entertainment is taken into account and there are no other events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is about 30000 for each semester. It has to be paid online using SBI pay. and fee receipt needs to submit to class in charge. the fess is quite feasible if you compare it with other engineering colleges. for economically weaker sections of society, the concession is provided.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarship for meritorious students who score good grades in the first attempt, full or free concession of fees is provided

Campus Life

In mechanical about 5 girls to 75 boys ratio. the college atmosphere is generally dull and dead.students are mainly from Punjab, Haryana and Himachal few from other states. basically you should avoid this college if you are planning to enjoy 4 years of your life.

Alumni/Alumna

There is one WhatsApp group created for alumni student.most of students move abroad or study for competitive exams

After you have obtained rank for JEE Main you would get selection procedure for admission in engineering from the govt. Colleges which are -PEC, CCET, UIET, UIET HOSHIARPUR, CHANDIGARH ARCHITECTURE COLLEGE.So based on your rank and availability of seats one may opt for required branch and college.

The faculty and lab infrastructure is poor.lack of engineering facilities and latest teaching methods. majorly faculty members are on a contract basis and involvement in overall student development and teaching research is poor.lectures are mainly provided on how to get passing marks for finals

Placement are provided by the college and Good offers are made by the companies. Like in cse , ece and ee have good placements but in lower branch percentage placements is a bit lower, but overall average and median package is good ( 70%) Highest placement was 61 lpa of 2025 median was 13 lpa.

Punjab Engineering College through an Unfiltered lens .

Placement Experience:

placement stats of my college is great. Better than most of the colleges out there . Even better than many NITs and IIITs , with an avg package of 14-16 LPA . And every year the Median and Avg package is increasing . Highest package till now - 83 LPA . Students are allowed for campus placements after 5th semister All the big companies out there , from Google , microsoft , amazon to Delloete , JP Morgan , AmericanExpress , to seimens, oracle , L&T , all companies come here . around 70-75% students gets placed from here My plan is to get the highest paying job offer possible for me , that's it .

PEC is great choice

Placement Experience:

placements from rti report placement percentage is over 75 + and in ee its 74 percent cse 93 and ece 84 percent avg for cse is 18 lakhs and ece is 16 lakhs ee its 14 lakh and other branches have 8 10 lakh avg but the placemnt percentage in mechncial is 70 percent other branches like civil production have a little less percentage of placements but they have opportunities in college

PEC life in a nutshell

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am in first year and first year is same for all branches, so I don't know a lot about electrical engineering specifically. But of what I have heard from seniors, electrical branch is more difficult, and in pec u get not that many core companies. While u get a lot of finance, IT, coding etc companies.

Yes,very good college placements are available in our college.Students of 8 semester that is 4th year students are eligible for campus placement Companies such as TCS,wipro,amex,gemini solutions and etc many more companies are there for placement 60-80% students got placed in the companies with an average package of 8 lakhs and with a highest package of 35 lakhs Iam oriented towards govt jobs and in future if I will be interested in coding sector I will do preparation for off campus and specifically for Rubrik

Placement Experience:

Placement do occur in the college. It's average package is around 7.5, lakh. Since I am the first year right now, I don't have data to support the placement record, but some of my seniors of fourth year are getting placed. One of my IT senior got placed for 14 LPA and other other, my Cse senior got placed for around 12 LPA. so opportunities are there for those who want to do something

Okay so for getting admission in Chandigarh College of Engineering and Technology Sector 26 Chandigarh 1st you have to give JEE mains exam for that exam you have to attempts in a year provided by NTA. After giving JEE mains exam you have to apply for Jack Chandigarh counselling that takes place after the JEE mains result has been declared they are total free rounds for that Chandigarh counselling and after the three rounds there are some rounds for spot rounds. If you are looking to get admission in computer science or electronics plans then you have to achieve at least 5260000 rank in JEE mains if you come from general quota and other state there is 85% reservation for students that are in Chandigarh and 15% for other state quota. So as another state quota student and as a hostess and as a computer science student I would recommend you to achieve at least 50000 to 60000 rank if you are looking for CSE or electronics branch in our college....Read More

CCET- an decent college if you want to learn and discover yourself along with knowledge

Firstly,one should have appeared and scored decent marks in JEE MAINS and have to apply through JAC CHANDIGARH counselling and opt for this college. And should have 50% or above in 12th The application for gets out around after JEE MAINS session 2 and can be found on google easily.
