Remarks

Everything is fine about CU but the authorities are a bit harsh and only some people are helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Yes, the course curriculum is great in Chandigarh University. The hourly test every month and assignments help a lot in preparing for sessionals. The students don't have to study all in one go. Yes, CU provides industry-specific knowledge, in fact, they only teach which helps students to stand out confidentially in the industrial world.

Placement Experience

5

The only thing which has no doubt in CU is placements. From the beginning, of course, they enlightened the students about placements and motivate them from time to time. CU helps students to be ready for the industrial world and provide lectures accordingly.

College Events

4.5

Every year there is one fresher's party and one huge fest which is for 3 days. Every festival is celebrated happily from Holi to Deepawali. Every year there is technical fest which is also for 2-3 days. There are other interstates or intercounty competitions.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Keeping in mind all private colleges the semester fees is average. Semester fees for BE-CSE were 65000 in 2016. The campus is provided with two banks and also accept any mode of payment. CU has its own information system which is claims which help in online payment. Yes, college provides full transparency in the fee breakdown.

Fees and Financial Aid

As i was from Schedule Cast and a Punjab resident as well. The university provides a scheme which helps students to study free of cost if they have the same. University also provides scholarships with jee ranks and 12th marks.

Campus Life

5

As a matter of fact, Chandigarh University is more likable because of campus life. The gender ratio is equal. There are people from every country and state. Extracurricular activities are the main concern of CU. They organize intercounty competitions for sports and other technical activities like hackathon and robotics competitions.

Alumni/Alumna

Recently Chandigarh University made a website on alumni specifically. All alumnae of CU are registered there. If any student has any problems they can get information about anything directly from the alumnae.

Admission

Firstly i applied for government College in Chandigarh but not selected and for backup College, i applied for CU. From the beginning of my study, I was into computers and wanted to study computer science. CU has the best infrastructure and placements. So i opted for CU because of these two things.

Faculty

3.5

Five days are working in a week and every day there is a theoretical and practical lecture. The average age of the faculty is 25 as a matter of fact faculty is young in CU and all are post-graduate. Most of the teachers try their best to teach but some are under-qualified and not able to properly elaborate.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
