Remarks

No college/institution is perfect. There are flaws as well. Positive is the name and the brand value HR carries is no match to any other college in Mumbai. Negative is that the phone line and tele operations are very poor and unresponsive.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It's an only commerce College. So yes the curriculum covered subjects revolving around commerce. Also they were a mix of practical and theory subjects. The exam structure was simple.A small unit exam followed by a semester exam.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement and job opportunities were too good.A hell lot of companies visited our campus ranging from start up to mid cap companies to MNCs.They picked up quiet a lot of students and all of them had some great packages as well.

College Events

5

A lot of events have take place throughout the academic year in college There are quizzes,Bazars, seminars, dramas, cultural programmes and what not. Also the students in our college are quiet enthusiastic so the participation was top notch.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible since it's an aided instituted. The fee structure was not even 1k for the initial 2 years and during graduation as well it was quiet feasible as well.So as far as affordable education was concerned they were 10 on 10.

Fees and Financial Aid

No idea as such as about scholarships/loan. On a personal note never availed off any such facility. The only facility we got was railway pass concession. Also girls got a girls freeship wherein the fees were waived off.

Campus Life

3.5

Extra curricular activities were top notch. As mentioned there were a lot of activites throughout the academic year. Sports wasn't conducted in college due to space constraints IT lab and library was maintained very well.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There were no hostel services as such provided by college. Though there were a lot of hostels nearby due to close proximity to colleges. So this question is quiet irrelevant and also I cannot rate or comment on the same.

Alumni/Alumna

No idea as such as about such kind of network. Personally not been in contact with any seniors except a few that too on social media. But yes we do receive mails regularly from the College Alumni email updating about the alumni meet of the previous batches.

Admission

I secured admission through the minority quota since I am a Sindhi. Also overall marks and my math score was taken into consideration before granting me math in junior college.I have studied for 5 years in this college starting from 11th till Graduation

Faculty

3.5

The faculty was nice.Mix of youth and experience.Being a top college they were quiet cool and cordial, promoted extra curricular on a regular basis. Also a lot of teachers were part of the clubs made inside the college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

One of the key aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the B.Com course at Sydenham College was its strong foundation in core commerce subjects such as Accounting, Economics, Business Law, and Finance. The structured progression from basic to advanced concepts, along with exposure to subjects like taxation and auditing, made the program particularly appealing for students aiming for careers in finance, CA, CS, or management.

Placements society of college is just a decade old and still top companies like Zues Capital, Barclays, and Icici bank are among the top colleges that have become a part of ecosystem where 30-40 students is what each companies hires every year. Not many though as too many sections and 500+ students means getting placed even half the students can be a task where Mithibai placement percentage is 60 odd percentage.

Placement Experience:

Impeccable, amazing and unbelievable are the placements here. For B.Com which is as always a crowded college, making sure 60-70% students have placements through campus is a task not less than climbing everest. So definitely all I can say is our college has done so well that it is now the first choice college for commerce not just among Mumbaikars but overall as well.
