Remarks
Postive would be about its teaching quality and fee structure and negative would definately be about its infrastructure and lack of upgrading according to change as compared to other colleges around the city.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is quite easy. Now it has been updated to semester thing. Syllabus is defined and a lot of guidance books are available in college library and markets, any time. Internal exams were held early prior to the final exams.
Placement Experience
Yes, just before appearing got the final year examination we have different companies and even banks coming to the college for campus interview. It included 2-3 step interview. I was able to appear in just one interview and so i dont have much description to give about the same.
College Events
All events starting from Freshers to different puja and promotional events were celebrated. Freshers and other such big events were mostly done at a hired auditorium due to lack to space to accommodate large crowd at the college premises. Other events such as Puja or teacher's day which had only college students to be a part of where celebrated in the college itself
Fee Structure And Facilities
One of the reasons of my choosing this college was it's fee structure for sure. It has a highly reasonable fee structure as compared to other colleges in the city. There are some colleges whose early fees was about 10 times or more as compared to ours.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, I am not as such aware of this kind of facility offered. However there might be scholarship being offered to the toppers of the final year of college. But I don't have apt information to speak about the same.
Campus Life
We had a gym, computer lab for the commerce stidents, chemistry lab too for the science faculty students. We had to use the computer lab only in the 3rd year that too for internal exams. No other facilities am I aware of
Hostel Facilities
Our college does not have any hostel. However for the students who have come here from outside could stay at PG or flats which were not very far from our college. I have my house so i didn't have to think about this matter.
Alumni/Alumna
These is some sort of union in our college which was made to help the freshers and beginners out there. It comprised of the 3rd year students. It was a committee comprising of library department representative, co curricular activities representative and guiding representative etc. But need never arose of my interacting with them.
Admission
I had to physically submit my marksheets of 10th and 12th (in Xerox). Date was announced for checking in the merit list. I got my name in the 1st list. However now this process has been switched to online. It costed me 100 rs for the application. After getting my name in the list, I had to visit the college with the 1st year fees and present some documents (Photo, Birth Certificate, Address Proof, Marksheets, etc) before the college authority. The admission fee was to be deposited in a nearby bank and the counter foil was to be presented to the college.
Faculty
The faculty of the morning shift is quite good, with experienced teachers. However a few didn't actually come to the class a lot of times. A few of them were least bothered whether something is even getting into our minds our not and continue to speak until the bell rang. However overall the teachers were good at teaching and took an interactive and interesting class.
