The college has made nothing but postive memories for me. Being part of the core committee and also getting involved in numerous activities really widened my way of thinking which has helped me a lot in the day to day life. Also regarding academics you can clear you doubts at any given point of the day there's no issue in that.

The mechanical engineering stream in this instituition is quite good. There's good infrastructure and equipments as required for mechanical engineering. Our HOD was also a faculty of Jalpaiguri Engineering College and the teaching staff is very supportive as well.

I with 7.96 got 2 job offers one in Mphasis and other one at GSG of 2.4 lakhs and 6.5 lakhs per annum salary package respectively. There's innumerous job offers and regarding the internship we did a training in the North East Frontier Railway from Siliguri.

There will be a combined teacher's day and fresher's programme called Alfresco on and around 5th of September every year where there will be cultural fests only and then during the even semester there will be a college fest which is one of the biggest in North Bengal named Alacrity. Alacrity host 2 days program, one for technical events ending with dj night and then on the other day it is only cultural fest like band competition, solo singing competition and all, ending with rock band performance. There's inter department and inter college football as well as cricket tournament too.

Feasible, the fee structure is much less than what you'd have to bear even after getting good marks in KIIT and institutes like that. Each semester is around 40-44 thousands rupees. This seems quite economical in respect to other colleges.

I'm not aware of such loans and also haven't availed for it. You can talk to the accounts section in the college to know further information regarding scholarship and loan, but I've seen Students paying less for some reason that I'm not aware of.

There are numerous thing for extra curricular activities there's sports area where there's indoor games like Carrom, Billiards, Chees, and Table tennis as well as outdoor games facilities like cricket, vollyball, badminton, and football. Also there's drums and guitar for those who are passionate about music.

Seniors are very helpful and will feel like family once you get to know them. There's Facebook groups that I may not be a part of but have heard of it where there are alumuni and also faculties to help if you ever need any.

I gave the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam in 2016 and on the basis of my rank I got selected for b.tech in Mechanical Engineering in Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management. I failed in maths but after I gave the retest and cleared all the subjects I started doing the regular classes as per scheduled.

The faculty is very helpful and never made us feel that we had to maintain the hierarchy. Professors are like friends over here they'll guide you in the right direction I can guarantee you that. Each department has a subject matter expert.
