Remarks

College is decent. Fees is very very low being a government college. atmosphere is okay okay. Not so good not so bad. Its student who need to find the diamond out of the coal. Altogether a good college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Cource curriculum followed is of punjab university and the college is affiliated to PU. Enginnering cources arnt tough if you study regularly. About exam : Every semester you have 1. 2 sessional exams 2. 1 Final exams 3. quizes/practicals/etc. Out od two sessionals the best marks are submitted as internals to the university.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements for ECE & CSE were around 90%. Average package Cse - 5.5LPA, ece - 4.95LPA. Intership is not provided by the college. you need to do thay on your own only. I got interned to L&T company and a stipened on 35k was provided. Thats huge.

College Events

2

The main fest is APRATIM which is held anually in month of Oct. Its the next thing in college. They have star nights, Food, Competitions, quizes, alot of fun is there. There is nothing else beside this.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Totally inexpensive, around 2.5 lakh for college fees. hostel i didn't take but is around 30k per year with food. though food i came to know is worst. totally vegetarian food. Fees is totally affordable.

Fees and Financial Aid

As such no scholarship is offered. But you can take education loan from bank. It very easy now a days. Or you can try for government scholarships but there are very very few scholarships and candidates are in thousands or may be lacks.

Campus Life

2.5

They are okay okay like only 1 single chem lab. 2-3 computer labs. Library is good. sports they have huge courts but no one plays on them, don't know why. But they have team for cricket basketball.

Alumni/Alumna

Not so helpful. Everyone's busy in their own life and are not interested in helpinf others but teachers have few no.s which your can contact. They are very very helpful. Just be lovely to them, they'll help you.

Admission

First you need to appear for jee mains. Your rank in jee mains will decide which college you are getting. A rank of about 50k-110k can get you this college. After jee mains the jac chandigarh website activates on which u need to register and make ur preferences in college and course. after than according to ur rank you are offered the seat its your wish to accept or reject. After accepting you are called for document verification thats very simple. And done you are admitted to the college.

Faculty

4

Faculty is nice and well educated. Also being a government college it is expected that they dont change in between your running course. But at the end its a college you are not at all being spoonfed here. You need to learn on your own. Faculty can just guide you.

For improvement in teaching methods, they can go digital, like using smartboards, or use more practical teaching methods, or maybe just improve the way of teaching simply. Teaching methods here really need upgrades, mostly students here have to rely on youtube when exams come near.

Placement Experience:

The placements have been lowered by 10-20% recently, but they are getting better. You will get a job if you manage cgpa above 7 and are decent with your skills, but then don't dream for 20lpa + jobs, you need to work upon yourself in silence to get 25-50 lpa packages and they do happen in our colleges, highest package in electrical 2024-25 was 52 lpa and in ece cse they had 61 lpa. Companies start coming in 3rd year for internships, only 10% manage to get intern in 3rd year, companies like microsoft, atlassian, flipkart, mercedes, jp morgan etc. they do come. Placement perecentage is like 75-80% in electrical and it is very low in civil (around 40-50%), in cse it is like 90% or even higher. My plan is to get an intern asap. (Maybe in 2nd year theough offcampus)
