Remarks

Allover the college is very good but the campus is slightly short. The society of the vollege is extremely good and one of the best society of allover du. The college environment is pleasant and study friendly.

Course Curriculum Overview

There are many courses available like b.com,b.a,bms,pol science hons, etc also there are are two language courses available. Exam structure is on semesters basis one must need to give 6 semester exams in ordet get thier graduation degree.

Placement Experience

The placement sell is not good as it should be.as compared to other colleges it brings vry less iternshy and job oppy to the students.morever the company offering yhe job is not paying tje fair stipend yo the students.

College Events

There are many events are bey celebrated in the college here are some of them like blood donation camp regular fitness checkup camp yaga session and many more. Also the faculties of the college are doing some good events for the syudents like movie screening etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very feasible and weach and every student can afoird it. Yhe callege charges very les fee for many courses as compared to other colleges. The college fee includes tutorial fee. Sports donations stationary fee etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I've never availed any scholarship or laon from college but there us a scholarship available for the economically weaker student. They can get the loan or scholarship by doing the formalities as directed by the college.

Campus Life

They are also very good. There are many sports available in the college like kabbadi volleyboll cricket etc. Many societies are actively working i yhe college campus and they are organising so many Extra curricular activities on regualr basis.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors of the college is very polite and helpful. There are no thing like ragging is present in the college campus. Campis is totally ragging free and good. yhe senior are helping their juniors in every manner.

Admission

Firs of all i had registered myself on online portal of du for ug admission.therfore i applied gor the admission i desired college online. At the college j got my marks verified and filled the required form and submiited it to the college office.

The faculties of the college are good helping and qualified. They have their own unique way yo teach. Yhey helps the students of yhe college not only in their subject but also in thier pesonal matters.

supportive and approachable who explains concepts really well, like pallavi mam and shweta mam
good campus life like cafeteria area, library, and classrooms

Dislikes

could get a bit crowded when both the shifts have classes

the whole reason i chose jims kalkaji is beacuse of placements it is popular for placements it offers multiple placements after your 3rd or 4th year of specializtion different multiple companies come here to pick students.

I like friendly and comfortable campus environment. student from different background intreact with each other
The college provides a good acedemics foundation and opptunities for overall development. being Part of delhi university also give student exposure to different events

Dislikes

some classroom and campus facilitues need improvement
placement oppotunites can be improved, esecially for student looking for better corporate exposure.
the evening college schedule can something be inconveibient because many acitvity and oppotunities are generally more accessible during regular college hours

Life at South Campus

Likes

The crowd at venky is great, diverse crowd.
The campus is well maintained and is one of the bests at DU.
Opportunities provided to students are great

The attendance policy is a little strict for 1st and 2nd year

The course provides a comprehensive image of finance and management, though after NEP, the curriculum seems a little irrelevent. The exams are conducted twice in a year, 2 sems per year, they conduct mid sem exams as well.

Shyam Lal College( Morning) Review

Likes

College is improving day by day teaching faculty is also helpful it recently got A++ NAAC credition as well
Overall college is good if you have good peer group.
Near to north campus so doesn't really feel much of headache if you want to visit regularly.

Dislikes

Shadara is not a good place to spend your college life.
Evening college crowd has made the reputation of the college bad.
Near by area is not safe for Girls in late hours.

Placement Experience:

6th sem is the first time college placement are proceeded . Companies are not impressive and mostly are entry level jobs such as cold calling and such which they offer. Highest package was 4 lpa and avg was 2.5 only. Around 60 percent students gets placed.

The online learning platform is easy ans simple to use students can acces lecture and assigments and study materials anytime
Faculty mambers provide clear guidance through online sessions and study materials they are supportive
They procides recording that was very usefull when we will not attend the live class

Dislikes

Since the classes are in online and also there are some techical issues while taking classes that will interupt classes
placement support is limited in online classes so students need to search for internships and job oppertunities on their own
Its deffecult to connect student coordinators while we wnat exam timetable etc they are too slow

I choose BCOM because the want to take ACCA after BCOM it will helps to improve my career and give a better job and also BCOM is the basices of ACCA like law, financial managment, taxation etc .The curriculam provide strong fountation for students who wamts to pursue higher studies such as M.COM , MBA and professuonal couses. BCOM helps to understanding real world bussiness practices , accounting sytem etc . on;ine study material recordimg leture and assigments also make flexible for students to study their own pace. exams are usually conducted semister wise the difficulty level 0of exam are moderate if students were attend the class regulary and prepare well

i dont like any thing in this college

there is a green gaurden in my colleges old campus
we have a big ground in our college which i like i can play football there
they make an football ground in old campus which is good

Dislikes

techers are not good in teacing they just want to let it go the classes
my college was too small and the classes are not properly furnished for my class size
there is no place for sit in the shade or to make our mind diverted or have fun and the canteen is worst of old campus

i am from commerce background i want to do eco honers but in 12th i dont have mathematics so i cant then i decideid for b. com honers but i aloted the b.com program which is my 3rd priority umm i leanrd new things in my ncc and with my friends there are very less college activities to i dont know how to make my college life good and make some experiences they can make us travel with them to the real buiseness or any factory or a relay paper work from any company i want to do a camp in jab which is good for my ncc life but it is during my exams thats why i cant did that camp yet

i liked their faculty member and staff , they are played with students and taught as a friend
i liked canteen service and their foods it is hygienic but canteen infrastructure is not good
i liked their ground its have bollyball court basketball court badminton court and cricket ground also and they provide gym in college

Dislikes

i didn't like their campus because its not too much big
and college provide which lift service is not working properly
their bathroom is not too good and not too much hygienic

Course Curriculum Overview:

i choose bcom hons and all teacher are provide their 100% on their courses but neet to improve in practical exam because some computer not working and teacher teach students in one computer but there is no difficult paper according to time some time it's lengthy.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

I gave the CUET exam which gets you admission into central universities such as- Delhi University and Banaras Hindu University. I applied for delhi university. Based on my marks, i had to prepare a preference sheet of the college's which provided my interested course- Bachelor of Commerce. Among 50+ colleges i prepared the preference sheet. There are allocation round in which the University allots you a college. In the first round I was alloted Satyawati college i.e 22nd preference. It was on off campus so I had three options- accept the admission, upgrade your college or withdraw admission from University. I applied for upgrade and got Ram Lal College in 2nd round. It was a south campus college. i paid the fees and got admission. I could upgrade the college for 3rd round but decided not to as I was satisfied with the college. I wasn't interested in BHU as I read the reviews that bachelor of commerce was better in Delhi University....Read More

Underrated Gem of UoD

The college was alloted to me via the Delhi University entrance exam portal. I personally wanted to do the course and thats why I accepted the college in one go. If you have to get into the college just give CUET. The cutoffs are high and you will have to aim the best score for getting in DU. Personally DU was my only option as I didn't apply to any other college. The admission process is very smooth and personally I didn't face any problems there....Read More
