Remarks

Positives college somewhat out of the city and hence very less disturbances, good faculty, good infrastructure, all facilities present, library is good, lecture halls are well maintained. Negatives no ground to play sports no gym.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course is about 4.5years.total of 19 subjects. It is divided into three phases.First phase has 3 subjects and duration of 1 year. second phase 4 subjects and 1.5years.third phase has 2 parts part1 has 3 subjects and 1year,part 2 4subjects and 1 year.Exams are divided into two theory and practicals.Theory exams paper will be valuated by Rajiv Gandhi University of health sciences.practicals will be conducted in our respective college examiners from other states will come.To pass minimum of 50%marks is required in each and every subject.

Placement Experience

Ours is a government college and there is no question of placements as it is a medical College.job opportunities are always there.we have one year of internship after completing our final year and we will have a good experience since we will get the chance to treat all kinds of patients.stipend is a reasonable amount that changes from time to time.

College Events

All national holidays are celebrated like independence day,republic day, Gandhi jayanti where we hoist our national flag and give some inspiring speeches and songs.CME (continued medical education)will be carried out on a regular basis to get exposure of changes in medicines, concepts, treatment etc. Cultural activities with all kinds of events. Sports where we play both indoor and outdoor.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As it is a government college it is feasible to most of the students fees is about some 50k per year which includes library sports instruments , maintenance, tuition fee,etc For our batch fees was 20k per year but now it has increased to 50k which is decided by the government.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provides karepass scholarship and national scholarship, both are given by government where we apply online and submit our documents to the college for verification, they verify it and send it to higher levels for verification.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are mainly cultural activities conducted yearly once all students take part in it whole college will be divided into to 6 groups consisting of all phase students.points will be given to each group based on result of each event and winner will be announced at the end.sports events every year both indoor games and outdoor games will be played but inn this teams are created according to their respective phases.

Alumni/Alumna

Actually we are the first batch so no seniors for us.B it we as seniors to junior batches are very kind and teach them a lot be it subjects or manners.we guide them during exams and help them by giving our books to read.

Admission

Through option entry conducted by Karnataka examination authority.seats were given based on our kcet rank after selecting our priority list.There will 2 rounds and one extended round.candidates can get admission in first round itself or they choose to wait for next two rounds till they get their desired seat.

Each department has one hod , associate , assistant professors, junior and senior residents and tutors.And other workers.in our college faculty has a mixture of experienced and newly joined doctors who are very good and talented and try to help students in each every aspect.

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the classes are taken regularly in preclinical and paraclinical subject and some of clinical subjects as well. these are slidepresentation, demonstration and group discussions. there is great learning opportunities. case discusions are done in clinical postings. integrated leaning is not much practiced and would be drawback. library timings are not suitable at all.

Placement Experience:

The first batch of students is passed out in this year from our college. Now they are doing their house sutgency. Besides they are preparing for their pg studies. Most of the students will opt for higher studies like MS, MD, etc. Our hospital is average with average cases. And specialty hospital construction work is going on.
