Candidates must pay the Course Fee Deposit till November 22, 2024. Candidates who have paid the course fee deposit can fill in their choices/ options till November 24, 2024 (11 AM). The payment of the security deposit and option entry for the counselling should be done online @cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugneet24. The last date for online choice filling and locking for the Special Stray Vacancy Round is November 22, 2024 (8 AM). The Seat Allotment Result will be released on November 23, 2024 @mcc.nic.in. Candidates who will be allotted a seat will have to report to the allotted institute from November 25 to November 30, 2024 (5 PM).

Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) is a government medical college founded by the Government of Karnataka as an autonomous college in 2013. KIMS Koppal is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and approved by the Medical Council of India. Located in Koppal, Karnataka, the institute is recognized by the National Medical Commission.
Koppal Institute of Medical Sciences offers MBBS at the undergraduate level and MD/MS at the postgraduate level. The Medical Council of India has approved an intake of 150 seats per year under MBBS. For the MBBS program, 15% of seats are reserved under the All India quota, while the remaining 85% are reserved under the State quota. KIMS Koppal accepts NEET UG and NEET PG for admission to MBBS and MD/MS. Students clearing NEET UG and NEET PG must undergo counselling for admission on All India and State Quota seats. - The campus is quite peaceful and is safe especially for girls.

This college was alloted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) by conducting an all-over-country examination called NEET. I had secured a rank of 80000 and thus got alloted to this college. The previous college was the first batch so there was no one to guide this leading to rejection.

- The teaching faculty is best, Well supportive staff. Library is well maintained and has availability of all the books with latest edition.
- The hospital postings is regular strict and effective

- Hostel is not as good as it should be, a typical government hostel.

Course Curriculum Overview:
I was not really oriented and prepared for this course, it is really stressful, and requires love for the field which I don't possess. Join this course only if you have love for the subject. This course has 19 subjects in total, which will be learned in 4.5yrs. As mentioned I got here just because I got a seat worth crores.There are around 5-7 professors in a department. The teacher: student ratio is approximately 1:5.All faculty have MD or a MS, execpt for tutors who have M.Sc. Teaching mentions aren't the best, it's all ppt and reading. You have to read theory by yourself, and learn practicals from faculty.Exams are timely with a few months gap, but thanks to covid, our exams were rushed.This is MBBS, so don't expect one to pass by just one nighter as in engineering. You will need strong fundamentals and concepts to get through. MBBS exams are literally the most stressful exams, which can even impact your health.
