Good for serious learners

The college is good for those who seriously want to learn. A good learner can extract the maximum out of the college. Location of the college provides a good environment to study. Fees being on the higher scale feels sometimes, but it can be put aside.

The course curriculum is apt and is highly focused on the present day needs of the the industry. The University follows the Semester system.Each semester has Mid- semester and End-semester examinations with quizzes being conducted during the semester.

There are job opportunities for Computer Science and Petroleum department. Good companies regularly visit the University and hire a good number of students. The University also provides internships and industrial visits in the penultimate year of graduation.

Technical Fest(IGNITE)- It includes various competitions and project presentation. Cultural Fest(UURJA)- This is the annual cultural fest of UPES which comes with emmense joy and excitement. Hackathon- This is a 48 hr continuous coding event. Design Fest- This is an event organised by School of Design. Annual Sports Meet.

The fee structure of the University is slightly on the higher side. But it also provides appropriate facilities such as, Full WiFi campus, Semester Course Books are issued to each and every student from the library.

There are scholarship based on 10th,12th marks and state merits which can be acquired at the time of counseling. Scholarships are also provided based on your performance in University exams. Also there is loan facility which is offered by the University through some banks.

There are amphitheatres and auditoriums inside the University campus which are big enough to organise events. Also there is a football and cricket grounds alongwith basketball, volleyball and badminton courts. Talking about the labs, they are up to date with current technology.

There is a good Senior- Junior environment in the college. Seniors are treated like second teachers. The seniors help in a lot of way from sharing notes to helping in completing the assignments. Also they keep us updated about the current trends and industrial requirements.

Entrance Exam is conducted by the University every year at various cities. Qualifying which you are called for counseling process where one can select a branch out of the many industry based programs.

Nice, knowledgeable, helpful faculty. Faculty is always ready to help one in need. They teach industry oriented topics. Teachers are cheerful and always help in boosting the confidence of the students.
