Remarks

Overall a good organisation to learn as its 1pp years old University, among cheapest in fees wise. Cost benefits ratio is excellent but need to work more on Individual development and placements which I think is co related apart from that one can learn culture and science under same shelter very efficiently.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

This Course is specially designed for the aspirant who want to work as a Human Resource Professional, It has total 3 Internship each of 6 weeks in two years course tenure, The examination is taken in semester basis total 4 semester in 02 years. The course also have one Tour aka PDP i.e. Personality development Programme which is its mandatory part usually happens on any nearby hill station.

Placement Experience

3.5

College have a centralised placements Cell,Placement happens for serious students only not everyone gets placement as it depends upon the market and economy mostly, but those who have caliber they get, Apart from that the Department of Social Work also have its own placement cell and Internship is mandatory part of MA Human Resource Management course, The student may get stipend or not depends upon the organisation where they are going to get training, The stipend ranges between 5,000 to 15000/month.

College Events

3.5

Different Events are celeberated by college and respective department as well. The university celeberates Foundation Day Annually, Apart from that Talimi Mela alps organized and hundred of events in the year are there. The department of Social Work has their own event celebrated annually known as Sehar which is an academic and cultural event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As JMI is a central University it's fees structure are Cheapest in India. The fee expenditure for all the course ranges between 6000 to 70000 per year. For my course I.e M.A Human Resource Management it's 10100 per year only.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure here at JMI is very low so there might not need for scholarship for most of the student. Despite some scholarships are available Two of the most prominent scholarships are JTA Scholarship I. E. Jamia Teacher's Association scholarships and the another one is Alumni Association Scholarship,Apart from these two there are dozen more scholarships available but the amount granted is very low which ranges from 5 - 10 thousand only.

Campus Life

4

The university have a separate sports complex, named as MA Pataudi sports Complex which is most advance in facilities but entry is somewhat restricted only sports related people are allowed to use the available resource however ground everyone can use, many cricket hockey and football tournaments take place. The university even have reserved seats in course as well as in Hostel for sportsmen.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

The total no of seats in hostels are less in relative to the total applicant. The hostel facility can be said under average which is mostly seemed in any Govt College or university, But if seen in economic basis the hostel is win win for one who get this, the hostel admission criteria is based on your Economic status and Academic credentials.

Alumni/Alumna

A wide range of Alumni are there most of them at prominent positions in their spheres but connection with the university is not that much strong as it could be because the university officials don't really work more on this thing.

Admission

I got admission in the post graduation course ie MA Human Resource Management. This is a 2 years course taught under Department of Social Work. The admission process is followed by a registration at first then entrance test then GD and Group Interview round, after which the list of selected candidates are out according to the performance in Entrance Test GD and Group Interview.

Faculty

4

Faculty is full of experience people but mostly come from Social Work backgrounds, so they have more insight into social work than Human Resource Management, overall the pedagogy is excellent but at the same time student himself have to study a lot for better prospects and learning.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have always held that the training I recieved during my masters programme prepared the grounds for my future development. The teaching pedagogy was centres around participation and a two way dialogue. I am not in the capacity to be suggesting improvements in curriculum as my stint in the university was almost perfect- more than I could have ever asked for.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well designed by the renowned professors and faculty members from different universities in India and from abroad as well. The content was choosen keeping in mind to cover all the aspects of the specific subject for a pg student. As I mentioned before, the quality of study material was very good and helpful and very enough. But the pg thesis is missing from our course, due to which we were not able to do a research project. It appears to me after the completion of my first year that we can do our research under our given faculty but it wasn't mentioned in the course structure as it is mainly upto our faculties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For the course i must say that this is something everyone needs to study about even if it's for just a part. We have ethics, moral, cultural relativism and etc. In our syllabus and it all really help to make our thinking rational, to see World from that point of view from where one can see the clarity. It's really necessary for improvement in personality and making good decision. I think there's need for making this course more practical like teaching, we can teach students about essentials of philosophy for there betterment of decision making from an early age.
