A real research oriented environment

The college is really really very good and top notch. It teaches us the way to build up ourself to face the realistic world. The college encourages social life equally with academics. Everyone is open minded and co-operative.

The Course curriculum is very diverse and everyone gets to choose the subjects of their liking from the first semester. It is made clear from the first day itself that the courses are about going in depth of the subjects rather than covering all the topics. The evaluation system is based on 4 Grade CGPA.

The placements of the college are really very good. All the companies named by the students are mostly invited to the college. There is an internship programme for the summer. Moreover students have the choice to do a 6-month internship or thesis in the final semester.

The events in the college are handled by the students itself. A lot of funding is provided by the college for valid events. From festival celebration to sport events to Ted Talks, everything is properly organized. There's Infin8 and Spandan which are college fests.

The average fee during the Masters Course is about 8 Lakh Rupees which is break down as - 1.34 Lakh for Tution fee per Semester, 33k for hostel charges per Semester, 25k for mess charges per semester. The fees sound expensive but are worth every penny. Moreover scholarships and internships recover some of the expenses. Every GATE qualified student is eligible for a Govt. Stipend of 12.4k per month.

There is a Dean's Merit List which gives scholarship to academically deserving student. The college also offers scholarship for deserving students and there are a lot of internship programs. There is also a loan facility in the college.

The college provides all the required infrastructure and accessories required for different sports and leisure activities. This includes Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Tennis, Table Tennis, Badminton, Library, Jogging track, etc.

The hostel infrastructure is awesome. Everyone gets a seperate room of their own. These rooms are well furnished and come equipped with a fan, study table and chair, a bed and a cupboard and a shoerack. The rooms are cleaned thrice a week by the cleaning staff. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable for students.

The college is run by senior junior relations. All the seniors help out Freshers to make their way. There are Teaching Assistants to help in particular subjects. The seniors are really polite and humble. Everybody helps each other.

The only criteria to get into this college for Post Graduation is GATE exam. The GATE cut off marks here are midrange upto a score of 650s. The process involves applying in the official website of IIIT Bangalore. The acceptance lists are released on dates mentioned. Once you are accepted, you need to pay the first semester fees to confirm your admission.

The faculties are very well qualified and have hands on experience in the industry. Many faculties are instructors to various industrial institutions and are in collaboration with the government. A few have completed their education abroad too.
