Remarks

The college lives up to the expectations. It takes absolutely the top layer of students from the pre medical exam and nurtures them into some of the best doctors in the country and there is absolutely no parallel that is present to it in that respect except AIIMS.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

It's tedious but it has to be like that since it's medical science. We have annual exams. The course is divided into 9 semesters and 4 professional exams. After the 9 semesters we have 1 year of internship. Each semester has a percentage pattern of marking students. There's no GPA pattern.

Placement Experience

5

Almost everyone gets placed or goes for post graduate courses. Most of the people go for post graduate courses. The internship at the end of the process has a stipend of around 25,000 per month. The packages at the end of the course range upwards from 1,00,000 per month.

College Events

4.5

There is an intra college fest by the name of Goonj and and intercollege fest by the name of Synapse with all the fun cultural events that could be expected out of a college fest. Apart from this there are spic macay fests. Other than that there are numberous conferences and educational programs every other day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Feasible. The annual fee is subsidized by the Government and us around 2500 per annum for the students. Apart from that all the other facilities are also very feasible yet top notch and affordable for every student.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers subsidized fee structure to everyone so there's no need for scholarships. Apart from that a lot of people visit various ciuntries abroad for exchange programs, conferences and observerships.

Campus Life

4.5

Everything apart from studies is extremely top notch too. From the sports facilities in the hospital and the college to the labs we learn practical applications in. Everyone is given proper opportunity to develop each and every aspect of their personalities.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is great. It is 6000 per annum. The facilities are great too with a 24 hour canteen and all the other favilities like 24 hour electrical supply, reading rooms, sports facilities, TV rooms, recreational room etc.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumini of this college are actually present in hospitals in almost each and every corner of the world. Be it India, the USA, Europe of basically anywhere. They are extremely helpful individuals always there to guide is in whatever we need.

Admission

There is an entrance exam called NEET which is an All India level pre medical entrance exam. I secured an All India Rank 17 to get into the college from among approximately 9 Lakhs students. The college take the top 50 rankers approximately every year from general category.

Faculty

5

The college comprises of few of the best Doctors in India. Each and every department has passionate people working towards providing quality education to students along with the best healthcare to the public. The infra is top notch to aid this.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
