Remarks

In my point of view the there are many positive remarks like the hish speed wifi in campus , good environment, so much greenery etc. And the negative things is the infrastructure. This was so old. That's why not looking so nice.

Course Curriculum Overview

A student will be declared pass without any supplementary if he/she scores 50% in aggregate of all the examination papers of both the semesters in the same academic year and 40% or more in each examination paper of both the semesters in the same academic year.

Placement Experience

Yes there are a lot of placement opportunities. Placements are not that good for civil engineering. The average salary package offered was around 4 LPA. Most of the students aim for GATE and IES. Many of them clear with decent GATE scores. In 2018, almost four students got into IISc, and more than 10 students got into older IITs for pursuing masters. The highest salary package offered was 6.54 LPA, and it was offered by ITC.

There are so many events celebrated in our university. When we came freshly here our Departmental seniors conducts a freshers party for us. And then freshers for the whole juniors named as u-tern also conducted. And winter festivals also happens.

Fee Structure And Facilities

B.Tech is offered in streams like Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Construction, Mechanical, Metallurgical etc. for INR 2,400 per annum. M.Tech is offered in Automobile, Civil, Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical etc. for course fee INR 4,800 per annum. The fee structure is not expensive

There are so many scholarships. PhD Fellowships For Students In IITs,Damak Technical Education Foundation Scholarships,Engineering International Scholar Award ,Merit Cum Means Based Scholarship , ONGC Scholarship etc.

Campus Life

There are so many labs ,workshops, sports activities in out university. 6 workshops ,machinary workshop one of them is the largest in Asia. There are so many games played here.and we also have a large playground.

Hostel Facilities

The infrastructure is fabulous with modern lab facilities. We have a mechanical workshop known as Blue Earth Machine Shop, which is the largest in Asia among its category. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The campus is divided into two parts, the main campus is in Jadavpur, and the other one is in Salt Lake.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the alumini students got good jobs in there sectors. They always motivate us ,which was a very good mind refreshment. And the seniors are very helpful. They always help us in every small works.

Admission

Admission to B.Tech program is offered on the basis of WBJEE score. Candidates should have scored at least 45% marks in 10+2 standard in order to be eligible to sit for WBJEE. The wbjee exam was conducted in the month of April.

All the teachers in our college are well qualified. Almost 95% of them are PhD holders either from JU or IITs. The quality of teaching is also good. All the teachers are highly qualified in there sectors. Jadavpur University is one of the top-ranked institutes of the country as per the NIRF rankings.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility for placement is from 3rd year,with tier 1 companies visiting like Google, Amazon along with mass requiters like TCS, Capgemini, Wipro etc.Last year heights placement package was 72LPA offered to 15 students and average was 2-3 LPA.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).

Like my main was getting to IIT which I couldn't as U couldn't clear JEE advanced.So my next option was to choose between NITS and JU.So clearly choose JU because it completes our BE in 10k whereas the fees of NITs are really high.So as I gave JEE in 2024 my jee main rank was something around 64K (95.5 percentile) and my wbjee rank was 2341 and got alloted food Technology and biochemical engineering in jadavpur university.The process to get into our college is to give wbjee and if u are a general your rank should be within 2500 to get into this premium college....Read More

Homebound Forward with Jadavpur University

I have always wanted to study in Jadavpur University in one of their literature departments since I was a kid. This was a way of achieving a tiny dream of mine. Moreover, the Comparative Literature Department is the best in all entire Asia and the first one in the country. I wanted to experience the greatness of this course and how the canons of this literature were formed here. It is also the topmost State Public University and 9th in NIRF I wanted to be a part of an institution that could be great to this extent. The admission took place on the basis of a merit-based entrance examination. The seats are limited; therefore, only the top 15 students out of almost 800-1000 who appeared for the exam were selected. The Pros and Cons of Joining Jadavpur University Masters of Arts in Economics

1) I applied for Delhi School of Economics, however couldn't manage an admission due to the extreme cutoff on CUET exam for the same. I had confirmed admission from North Bengal University, however it was not feasible since I had a choice in Jadavpur University. Jadavpur University has the best rank among all other colleges I had a confirmed admission to, so I chose this University. 2) I wanted to study in Delhi School of Economics, but couldn't make it there due to the extensive cutoff in CUET which I unfortunately couldn't clear. 3) Jadavpur University conducts its own internal exam for admission into its esteemed Masters of Arts [M.A.] programme. However one can get through by CUET exams as well, however that needs a decent score.
