Remarks

This is an esteemed medical College and does live up to the mark of it's reputation and is pretty good College. The studies and the crowd is pretty good. The infrastructure is good. Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the College

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is as per the guidelines of MCI. It is the standard curriculum with the listed subjects. 35% marks in Internals and 75% attendance is required to be eligible for end year exams wherein you need a cumulative score of 50% plus (including Internals) to pass. Exams are professional wise not semester wise. If you fail a semester exam there is no supple or year back.

Placement Experience

4

Placements aren't a given thing in a medical College, you have to go search on your own at the end of the course. Yes internship is provided at my College just like any other medical College. Our internship is at lok Nayak hospital which is a very good hospital. I have not yet had my internship as I'm a final year student, and the stipend is 18-20 thousand per month.

College Events

5

There are a lot of events including 1. Synapse- this is our inter college fest of 5 days that occurs every year in february-march 2. Goonj- this is out intra College fest that occurs for 3 days around October. We have some other fests and cultural events going on every year like swami vivekanand week and cultural fests.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is very feasible. Annual fees is 4000 and examination fees is 2000. Thus like any other government medical college, government gives a subsidy of 6 lakh rs per student per annum due to which the fees is pretty feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea about scholarships or loan facility though we do have a branch of syndicate bank inside our campus and loans would be available at reasonable interest rates I think. Though I am not sure about this.

Campus Life

3.5

Extra curricular activities include basketball court, volleyball court, indoor badminton courts, and a cricket ground inside the campus. The first three of these are in the boys hostel. The labs are well equipped and the machines like the microscopes especially in the microbiology and pathology labs are pretty good.

Hostel Facilities

3

I have opted for the hostel, the rate is 6-7000 per year and the facilities are also accordingly. There is no AC or attached washrooms. Initially you're offered a 3 or 4 sharing room which would later be shifted to a single room, hostel life is pretty good as there are 24/7 canteens and basketball and volleyball courts but rooms and washrooms are not particularly great.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are pretty helpful and they do guide you on every step, be it regular interaction or help with syllabus or with faculty or for exams, it is a normal trend to get your book marked by seniors in the first year and every following year.

Admission

First you have to prepare in 11th and 12th which you can do either yourself or from coaching institutes, after which you give NEET-UG. On the basis of that, you get an all India rank and state rank. After filling a state form of DU, I was selected for counselling and opted for MAMC.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is really good. All the teachers are profound doctors and have a lot of experience and thus teach pretty well, using seminars ppt chalk and board and visual aids in their lectures. Thus, this being one of the top govt medical colleges of India provides good standard of education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
