LPU's B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering offers a solid ROI with good placement rates, where around 90% of students get placed in reputable companies like Amazon and TCS, plus a reasonable annual fee of Rs.130,000. In contrast, Amity University Noida's B.Tech in Biotechnology is well-respected, but the placement data isn't as strong, and the fee structure tends to be higher. While both colleges have decent faculty and resources, LPU seems to offer better financial value with its combination of lower fees and solid placement opportunities. If you're looking for a more lucrative career with a focus on electronics and coding, I'd recommend LPU, but if your passion lies in biotechnology and you’re willing to invest more, then Amity could be the right fit.

Hi! It's fantastic to see students being so thoughtful about their careers. Being from Punjab and having family studying at LPU, I can provide some insights about it. You mentioned BSc, which is a three-year program, but you might also consider B.Tech, a four-year program. The demand for Biotechnology is on the rise, especially given the ongoing challenges posed by COVID-19, with promising prospects in areas like medicines, dietetics, and nutrition.

LPU has made significant strides in recent years, with a success trajectory that continues to climb. There are several reasons for this recognition:

  • The curriculum at LPU aligns with industry needs. Subjects like plant and animal physiology are covered in depth, preparing students for exams such as CSIR-NET, ICMR, and GATE.
  • Well-trained and experienced faculty are dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for students.
  • Practical knowledge is emphasized through well-equipped and modern labs.
  • Industry exposure is enhanced by visits from alumni and industry experts who share valuable insights on market trends.
  • Soft skills and communication classes are also conducted to help students polish their abilities for the professional world.

Alright, here’s my honest take on this question. I'm not biased towards either option since I've completed my graduation from Amity University (B.Com Hons.) and am currently pursuing my MBA at LPU. It's only been 4 months at LPU, and I can genuinely say it surpasses Amity in several ways. And I’m not just talking about the 600-acre campus or parking facilities.

Here are the reasons why I prefer LPU over Amity:

  • From day one at LPU, the focus isn’t just on getting high grades but on preparing you for placements. They provide real-time interview experiences (something I never encountered in my 3 years at Amity).
  • Each semester includes classes on Soft Skills and Quantitative Aptitude in the curriculum. This not only prepares you for placements but also for any competitive exams. (This was never offered at Amity).
  • To enhance your English, optional classes are organized every Saturday. (At Amity, this never happened).
  • LPU offers numerous live projects, field studies, internships, and part-time job opportunities. (For instance, a group of students in the 2nd year of MBA made Rs.8 lakhs in profits from the stock market while learning to trade).

In summary, LPU provides a more comprehensive approach to education and career readiness compared to Amity.

I think B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering at Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers a more comprehensive experience compared to B.Tech Biotechnology at Amity University Noida. LPU has a strong focus on placements, with over 90% of students getting placed, and companies like Amazon and TCS frequently recruit there. The faculty is well-qualified, and the curriculum provides a good mix of hardware and software knowledge, which is crucial in today's tech landscape. Amity's Biotechnology program is promising, but the reviews suggest that LPU might provide a better campus life and more hands-on learning opportunities.

If you’re someone who values solid job placement and a balanced curriculum, I'd personally lean towards LPU. However, if you have a passion for life sciences, Amity could be a better fit.

LPU's B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering stands out for its excellent placement opportunities, with a high percentage of students (around 90%) getting placed in reputable companies like Amazon and TCS, along with a solid internship program. In contrast, Amity University's B.Tech in Biotechnology offers a unique field but generally has fewer insights on placement statistics and internship opportunities compared to LPU. If you prioritize job prospects and a strong placement record, LPU seems like the better choice. However, if you have a passion for biotechnology and are willing to explore its niche career opportunities, Amity could be the right fit. Ultimately, it depends on whether you value placement rates or specific field interest more.
