Amity interviews — been there, seen the pattern. Let me tell you what actually happens beyond the basic tips you'll find everywhere.
The standard Amity entrance interview has two parts at most campuses: a Written Aptitude Test (English, reasoning, GK) followed by a Personal Interview (10-15 minutes, panel of 2 faculty).
What they actually ask:
What they really evaluate: Communication clarity, confidence without arrogance, and whether you're genuinely interested or just filling a seat. Amity interviewers specifically remember students who ask smart questions back — like asking about a specific lab facility or exchange program.
Dress: Business formal, no exceptions. They do notice.
One thing nobody tells you: The interview result is rarely a straight reject. Most students get conditional admission (pending document verification or entrance score threshold). So even if the interview feels rough, don't assume the worst.
Amity University Noida conducts interview rounds to select students under some courses. Amity University selects students based on their merit in previous qualifying examinations (Class XII/ Diploma/Graduation) followed by a virtual or in-person interview as required.
Interview Result: The result of the Amity interview round will be available on the student’s dashboard within a week. Sometimes results are even declared earlier or later than a week.
Amity University interview starts with a brief introduction. You will be asked to talk a little bit about yourself. You can expect questions on the subject you applied in. There usually are a few basic questions as well. They may ask about your extracurricular activities, your goal in life, why you want to choose Amity, etc.
One of my friends took admission at Amity University a few years back. According to her, the interview round isn’t very difficult, especially if you are appearing for an undergraduate degree.
They will probably start off the interview by asking you to introduce yourself, your interests and hobbies, reason for choosing Amity, and the course. Then there may be a few questions regarding your subject of choice.
