What is the latest program that you are offering in your institute/dept. which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd.
We have a number of Courses that are being offered at Nirmala College, including intermediate, UG, and PG courses. We are working to add more relevant courses for students. We aim to provide a variety of degree options for students to choose from so that they can carve out any career path they want.
What are the best practices in the course you’re offering?
We are working as a team for the overall improvement of the students. We are not only focused on providing theoretical knowledge but also aim to provide them with practical knowledge. Once they graduate from our college, they are exposed to the external world, where they must apply their knowledge. So in their learning phase, we focus on providing them with proper knowledge and providing them with case studies so that they can apply whatever they have learned during their classes.
Being the Vice Principal of Nirmala College, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?
Leadership is the process of making a team work together towards a desired goal. It is basically an approach to showing the team the way to achieve it. It’s not a singular input task, but we get input from all members of the college. As far as my leadership style is concerned, I believe in leading by example. If you plan something, you must show your team how things can be done. It is easier for them to repeat the same thing, and this makes the task easy.
What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the College and the students are?
As the Vice Principal of an esteemed college, I have a lot of roles. I am taking care of the administrative duties, starting from admissions to maintaining discipline, tracking the curriculum completion, and maintaining good relationships between HODs, teachers, and students. I also need to take care of placements as well and need to follow the instructions given by the university. I am also a NAAC coordinator and part of the anti-ragging committee.

What do you see as Nirmala College Strength?
The biggest strength of our college is are our faculties. We have a team of educated and experienced teachers who are always dedicated to helping the students and making them industry ready. With their guidance, we have been able to create generations of quality students. Additionally, the students are also putting in a lot of work and they are an asset to us.
What do you think should be the College’s top priority over the next 10 years?
We are continuously working to adopt different courses which are new to the students. This will help us increase our reach to the students. We are also planning to include value added courses like DCA, Tally PRO, hardware certification, and network certification.
Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?
Nirmala College has scholarships for students of different ethnic and economic backgrounds. We also award deserving and meritorious students. For this, we have donors and a student aid fund that also takes care of needy students who have not received scholarships from any other source.
What would you like people to know about your university they may not know?
Nirmala College has a well-established and modern set of facilities for the students. We have hostels, a student support centre and a utility centre. Our hostels can accommodate 450 students, and our classrooms are wifi enabled. Among the 29 classrooms, two are smart classrooms. We have 12 laboratories filled with the latest equipment. Students can also enjoy our seminar hall, auditorium, and our fully-stocked library.
Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?
Students, during their study phase, must try to be aware about their rights and duties towards society. They must try to inculcate what has been taught to them in their real lives by using their own logic. They must also try to work for the improvement of their society.
