Silver Jubilee Government Degree College derives its name from the fact that it was founded on the silver jubilee of independent India by the then Prime Minister Mr. P.V. Narasimha Rao and Chief Minister Shri M. V. Rajagopal. It is located in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh and was made autonomous in 2005 by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. College has a large campus spread over 27 acres of land with 26 departments offering 14 UG courses, 5 PG courses and 3 certificate courses. Most of the faculties in this college have Post Graduation as their highest degree of education. Currently, teaching is done according to the semester system with 180 teaching days every year. For entering this prestigious institution we need to crack an entrance exam early it was APRDC, no it's Changed to Silver Vet whatever, we need to crack the entrance exam and we need to go for counselling it's very tough to get admission in this prestigious institution earlier days, seats also very limited for b.com it's only 40 Seats 20+20 general and computer applications. My college was provided admissions for the students of various districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states. Our college can see not the marks of the students can see the interest to join in the college and the future planning and the most important thing is that the talent of the students to join in the college. The students who are joining the college settled in the topmost position.
