The National Service Scheme (NSS) at SJGDC was started on 24th September, 1969 with a view promoting social consciousness and sense of responsibility as well as a sense of discipline and dignity of labor among college students. NSS Symbols signifies Rath Wheel of the Konark Sun Temple of Orissa and The Wheel signifies the progressive cycle of life. The NSS symbol is embossed on the NSS badge. Konark Wheel in the symbol has eight bars = 24 hrs. It reminds to be in readiness for service of the nation. The Red colour indicates the active energy and high spirit. The navy blue colour indicates the contribution shared for the welfare of the mankind.

Placement Experience:

In semester 5 the students are available for the placements of different campus selections. The companies are Wipro, TCS ion, Microsoft, etc and there is more no of offers are made. The highest package is 3 lakhs per year for the company is TCs ion. Most of the students who are talented are getting placements. My plan after the degree is to get a placement job at Microsoft or join the CU for MCA.
