  • Library: TISS Library offers a very relaxed atmosphere. It is one of the places where students work and also socialize. This place gets heavily crowded during the exams.
  • Dining Hall: Dinning hall is not just a place to eat, rather it is also one of the places where students discuss their ideas. The dining hall serves both veg and non-veg meals and Biryani or Khichdi is offered on special occasions. The dining hall gets extremely crowded during the India-Pakistan match.
  • Nukarnatak - It is one of the amazing things that happen on the TISS campus. It is a short drama that happens from time to time near the old campus dining hall. 10-15 people will be performing the drama and within a minute it attracts about 200 students. The flash mob is a very common sight to see on campus.
  • Field Work - Field work is included in the curriculum of the social work students and it makes their life more hectic as they have to visit the villages, slums, etc which are usually quite far from the campus. They usually have to go for field work on Monday and Tuesday and complete their report within a week.
  • Sports - Every year TISS conducts a sports tournament, where all the department participate and have a good time. Basketball and football are really hyped games here.

TISS Mumbai has 6 Hostels, 4 on the Main Campus and 2 in Malti and Jal A.D. Naoroji Campus Annexe. The Hostels can accommodate 950 Students. A Typical Day in TISS Mumbai starts at 8:30 am for Lectures scheduled at 9:15 am which usually goes around till 6:30 pm. Lunch Break is usually from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. Guest Lectures, Company Presentations, Assignments, Competitions, Field Work are a part of the daily life in TISS Mumbai.

TISS Mumbai Library

TISS Mumbai Library is also known as Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library (SDTM). SDTM Library subscribes to over 10,298 Scholarly Print & E-Journals and 16,000 Audio-visual Materials. Currently, the Library holds over 1,24,000 books. SDTM Library is open from 9 am to 8:30 pm from Monday to Friday. On Saturdays & Sundays, it is open from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
