10 June, 2025: Admissions are open for the University of Freiburg's M.Sc. Physics program. Applicants can apply for the Winter Semester 2025/26 between 1 March and 15 July 2025, and for the Summer Semester 2026 from 15 September 2025 to 15 January 2026. Indian students must now submit an APS certificate as part of the admission requirements. Check more details.

- The housing is the major problem here, the university provied dorms is for 1 year after that we need to serach for accommodation on our own.
- The masters degree can take more than 2 years if one is reserch focused, as the curriculum is not that easy.
- Some courses need more efforts than the provided ECTS but we get to learn a lot in such courses downfall is that it is very lengthy.

I would say that it's exciting and challenging and the infrastructure is top notch. There are also a lot of systems in place to support international students. There are a lot of possibilities for one to advance as a student and as a professional. The courses are not easy and one would require a fair bit of self-discipline.

- The course subjects were really good and it aligned with my interests.
- The course structure of university is really great. It gives you flexibility of choosing courses and you can choose from upto 150 courses. ,The professors in the university are experts in their fields and the course content is completely designed by them. Which is the reason why the course content is very recent and relevant to current times.
- Additionally, It is located in Freiburg which a city in South Germany close to the Switzerland and France border. It is the sunniest city of Freiburg full of students and a great city to live in.

- The course and the subjects in general a re quite hard. Students on an average take up to three years to complete the courses.
- Although with repetitive feedback from our and older batches the course structure and credit requirements have been changed which seems to have reduced the average duration a little bit
