- Most people have to complete some bridging courses in the first semester, which won't be added to the credits. Although it helps bridge the knowledge gap, it will delay the course completion time.
- There is SWFR, which offers the student dorms, and the primary source of accommodation is this. You have to apply on their online portal. You can also use WG gesucht, eBay Kleinanzeigen to look for private housing. Monthly rent depends on the type of accommodation.
- If it is a student dorm, it is somewhere between 300 - 450 euros, and private will be higher. All the necessary facilities will be there for student housing, including the costs for electricity and heating.

- Opted for on-campus accommodation, the application form is available on the university website, and initial guidance on the application form is provided by the university.
- Monthly rent for a shared accommodation can be around 300-400€, depending on the number of rooms shared.
- The accommodation contract is issued for different durations, and in case of short-term, a reapplication is needed, and the room allocation is provided based on availability.

- Exposure to different cultures, since you met international students all over the town
- Research based and hands on experience, rather than mindless reading of ppts
- Creation of case studies for every module and helpful professors
Dislikes
- Less gap between 2 modules
- Finding houses to stay in
- Finding student dorms to stay in
- Initially, when I went to Germany for the first time, I was staying in a private house where I had to do everything on my own. The rent was pretty high, but getting a single accommodation for your entire stay during the entire course is practically impossible. I, myself, have changed houses around 4-5 times, rented houses, and stayed in student dorms.
- The application process to student dorms is based on a lottery system. Every house has 4 -6 students staying together with a common kitchen and 2 bathrooms. All the duties are distributed among each other.

- Academic structure is very student friendly and provides wide oportunity
- Large international community
- The location is also very nice
Dislikes
- One of the few states in germany to have tution fee
- Limited access to English study material in library
- Car parking is not free and is charged
- Online platforms : I primarily used websites like WG-Gesucht.de, Studierendenwerk Freiburg (official student service), and Immobilienscout24. I have joined several Facebook groups like "WG Zimmer in Freiburg" and "Freiburg Housing/Accommodation", where people post available rooms. I also checked local WhatsApp groups and notice groups around the university and student cafes, which sometimes have postings for available rooms or roommates.
- Challenges Faced : There is a huge demand for housing, especially before the semester starts. Places get taken really quickly, and landlords often get 30-40 applications per room. Many listings are in German, and some landlords prefer German-speaking tenants. The Studierendenwerk housing is affordable but limited, so I ended up on a waiting list.
- Recommendations: Begin house search at least 2-3 months before the semester commences Early enrollment with Studierendenwerk Freiburg as their dorms are cheaper Create strong and polite profile in WG-Gesucht.de mentioning your lifestyle and hobbies Beware of scams Try considering Temporary options.

- University fee of around 1690 Euros
- Accomodation issues that affects a student during exams
- Different pattern of teaching and exams for different subjects
- Apply to SWFR housing, which provides student dorms, first. In case this does not work out, we need to check postings on online platforms like WG Gesucht and apply for them. There are a few dormitories that can be applied to individually.
- An accommodation crisis exists and in case we don't get proper accommodation, people have to resort to costly private housing or cheaper housing on the outskirts of the city. Each dorm is given for 6 months to 1 year, after which extension is based on luck. So house finding can be a bit stressful, especially around exams. Suggestions. Be active and send emails to all possible dorms. Check genuine WhatsApp or Instagram groups that provide sublets until a permanent accommodation is obtained.

- The masters degree can take more than 2 years if one is reserch focused, as the curriculum is not that easy.
- Some courses need more efforts than the provided ECTS but we get to learn a lot in such courses downfall is that it is very lengthy.
- Right now the German job market is not the best, so many students are not getting job opportunities after graduation, so master's students are starting with PhDs. As per my knowledge, very few students are getting jobs within the first 6 months of graduation.

- University has tution fees as it comes under Baden Wuerttemberg state.
- It is very difficult to find accommodation.
- Accommodation is costly compared to other cities.
- You can search for accommodation through platforms like WG Gesucht, immowelt/immoscout.You have to send a message covering who you are as a person, what are your habits, and what you like. Usually, you get a response if you message them in German and provide financial proof like Schufa assuring you can pay rent on time.

- While my university offered numerous opportunities, there were areas that could be improved. One aspect was the limited practical exposure in some courses, which didn't align completely with industry requirements.

- The program is quite new and interesting and the faculty specializes in and is it at the forefront of Microsystems Engineering.
I would say that it's exciting and challenging and the infrastructure is top notch. There are also a lot of systems in place to support international students. There are a lot of possibilities for one to advance as a student and as a professional. The courses are not easy and one would require a fair bit of self-discipline.
