Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty Student ratio is quite good here. Due to this student can directly interact with any faculty to discuss their ideas, problems and suggestions for improvement. They are very open to them. Moreover, the faculty profiles are very good here and most of them have done their masters and PhD from abroad well reputed universities. My PhD supervisor has done his masters from University of Waterloo, Canada and doctorate from University of Alberta, Canada.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For PhD fee structure is less, for one semester we have to pay approximately 40000 INR. We get monthly scholarship of 31000 INR from institute or in some cases the funding come from projects as well. It means we can cover all our expenses with this amount. The institute fellowship will only hold for the period of five years. We can also apply for other fellowship programs such as Prime Minister Research Fellowship.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses are based on your branch. As it's an engineering college so a lot of disciplines are there. Most of the subjects are compulsory and some you have to choose according to the credit points of the subject. The subjects in each semester are selected according to the need of the individual i.e. from basics to industry and MNC specific. For b.tech for example, the entire first year is given a chance to study every domain subject, for example, C++, electrical engineering, basic electronics, manufacturing practices, ergonomics and many more. After the first year, branch oriented subjects are allotted. The next years build the technical knowledge and groom an individual for on-campus placements. To further prepare the individuals and keep them close to the industry. a lot of Industrial visits are organized for example a visit to the rail coach factory, Kapurthala. For chemical engineers, a visit to Ranbaxy and Cipla like industries are also organized. Yes, the subjects are very much relevant. Some of the credit should be given to the practical subjects which enhance the significance of the subject. Yes, the subjects have a quality that promotes research goals in the individuals. For example, my research topic is brain signal processing and I had study biomedical signal processing as one of the subjects in my course work.

Campus Life

Campus Life is very good. It's so green and Lucious and very peaceful life as well as very enjoyable evenings. A temple is there in the college itself so one can go there for peace of mind. A lot of grounds like football. Basketball court. Lawn tennis court.gym And our favourite canteen and eatery area. All in all its a good place to study and enjoy your life. A community hall is there in which ethnic and cultural programs like Ganesh Chaturthi, Saraswati Chaturthi are celebrated. Gener ratio as well as equation is good. No one feels the minority here. The students are more oriented towards their life, goals and enjoyment. Nothing like politics or economic issues are raised.

Placement Experience

The college offers good opportunities when it comes to placements. It is one of the best colleges in India for Chemical Engineering. The average placement of this college is around Rs. 5,75,000 per annum. The highest placement goes around till 18,00,000 and sometimes above. Only chemical engineering companies are allowed to recruit students from our college. The top companies are Exxon, Dairy, Dr. Reddy, alkylamines etc. You need to inform the placement cell in 3rd year whether you will sit for the placements or you will go abroad for higher studies.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Charge structure for the PhD program is truly ostensible. Organization is truly moderate regarding education costs and convenience expenses. Understudies who clears the NET JRF test are likewise qualified for profiting the grants from ICAR. Ph.D. program is a private program where the convenience office is given by the organization at a modest cost.

The curriculum was very tough but very important and effective. The minimum duration of the course was three years and the maximum duration was six years. The curriculum provides a thorough grounding in the fundamental principles of chemical engineering as well as intensive research experience. The curriculum includes Thesis work, comprehensive and oral examination.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities are an important part of our institute. These activities are organized by the institute which help us to keep our mind and body active. Many activities like plantation programme, blood donation camp, study tours, indoor and outdoor games etc are organized. We participate in many of the activities and enjoyed a lot.

Placement Experience

Every batch gets 100% placement every year. The batch sizes are generally small (around 20-25 people) and there are ample opportunities to get into a renowned organization until one messes up badly. Summer internship opportunity is provided to every student by the placement committee of the course and also the final placements are handled by the placement committee only

Alumni/Alumna

There is a vast alumni network who passed out from this college. The alumnis make frequent visit to the campus and interact with current students to inform them about the corporate scenario.
