Leading institutes in technological, industrial and economical development of the region and the country by imparting quality technical education the Institute is contributing to the technological, industrial and economical development of the region and the country for last five decades.

For PhD they conduct one entrance exam, based on marks in entrance exam they call for interview. GATE qualified student is generally given preference.

The course curriculum was fantastic and its improving every year you are going to learn each and every subject with nice details. 1st year all branches had a common syllabus and from the 2nd year we use to have our brace specific syllabus. The course is good enough and this is also good faculty guided by its department. All faculties are educated from good college and universities. The course is all about to study the world of materials about its characteristics from microscopic level to macroscopic one. Required facilities of labs and instruments are provided to understand the things of studies.

Internship trend is picking up these days for only IT and CS branch. there is good industry connect and for rest only few colleges have a connection.

Like any other NIT, Ranchi has pretty good placements. Placement is varied form branch to branch. Some branch has more than 90 percent placement while other has very low placements it and cse has mostly more than 80 percent placement record in our college while other branches also had good placement companies offer from 4 lakh per annum to around 9 lakh per annum the companies came this year are infoedge, Oxigen, TCS, yodlee, Infosys, vedisoft and many more for it and cse and offered packages in the above range. Many more companies will be coming in upcoming session.Placements are good for all branches and almost all average to decent scores get a package above 3.5 lacs.

The cultural event of our college Eclectika is a very major event and goes for three days it has many events and inter colleges competitions and many much fun events many students from different colleges come to participate in the event our technical fest AAVARTAN is a huge technical event which consists of many technical event and technical fun events and online gaming, coding rounds which are inter colleges events our sports fest is SAMAR and it has all inter colleges events and also had faculty matches.

Yearly Rs 20550 which including tuition fees(Rs 15000), admission fees, student activity fee, library etc for B.Tech students have to pay 35000 as tuition fees and other 3000 for other facility but currently tuition fees is raised to 70000 and other 3000 for the facility.

If the students in any branch become top three in their respective years, they can get scholarship from the director and one can get loan of study for four years from bank situated near the campus.

Government provide hostel and mess facilities in very low price whit ultra modern facilities UG hostel is sharing basis but PG hostel for individuals hostel facility overall good where students can get there food at a nominal charges old hostels were not so good but it was very affordable the newly constructed buildings for both boys and girls are really good and affordable.

It provide a platform to never abandon the memories, made during the years at this Institute. In an endeavor to bring closer those who were once very close to each other, the web site serves as a portal for resources and a mode of communication for the alumni.As our alumni base continues to grow and flourish, it has become increasingly important for us to provide up-to-date platform.

For Ph.D student there is no exam ,only in every six month we have to give presentation regarding our research work progress.For all other B.tech branch ,having eight semester means they have to appeared exam in every six month. IEEE, IIT JEE was the exam through students took to get into NITRR, to get a seat here ,students have to go through above exam and then they take admission here.

This is where NIT Raipur really takes a hitting. For some reason, there seems to have been a massive clearance sale, where all (or most) of the good professors have left the college. The remaining professors aren't too great; very few are permanent faculty, and those who are, aren't friendly or approachable at all. There's a wide communication gap between students and teachers but some are so friendly.
