Opinion on the education system of my college

Good college. I won't suggest it as a better college as the placement and infrastructure are not so good. But by the ambiance it can be a good college. So many improvements are required in this campus.

In phd we do Research on Metallurgical Engineering. Initially we had to appear the course work exam of 8 credit. Than rest 4 years for invention or to find something new in the research area. I am basically working on composite material and processing route of the composite material.

Placement are not so good in this college. Btech got some good placement. But for PhD and mtech students, no placement is there. For PhD students, we got institute fellowship from MHRD fund. Some of the students are there those are doing PhD without scholarship.

Our college celebrate various event like cultural festivals, technical events, sports competion. Cultural festival called eclectica is a very famous cultural festival of nit raipur. Samar which is a sports event, also attract outside institute to attend the same.

For Btech student fee is very high than the normal college. As it is a central government college, than also students pay around 150000 per year which is very high for a government college. For mtech they used to pay around 80000.

Phd scholarship is there for us. But for btech students, there are some scholarship available like industry sponsored scholarship, Op jindal scholarship etc. Students also avail some matric scholarship on the basis of their 12th marks.

Labs are okay. But sports facilities are not that good like other college. No indore sports are there. Only open court for badminton is available. We have a ground for cricket and other sports which also get congested sometime.

Alumni students sponsed for a building named Golden Tower in this college which is now became a restaurant of indian coffee house. This is quite good. Rest alumni also help the students to get internship or advice career opportunities.

Through AIEEE Exam held on 2010. I had appeared that exam and got a chance to join in NIT. I got chance in computer science engineering. Later on I shifted to production engineering. On 2015 I took admission in metallurgical Engineering department at nit durgapur. And now I am doing Ph. D from NIT RAIPUR.

All faulties are well qualified with PhD in respective field. Some of them also achieved post doc fellowship. Few faculties are there those have less knowledge in their field. But rest of them are very knowledgeable.
