Sports is a very active space of our college,while campus is remarkable and beautiful with all facilities
The senior faculty and staff members are really very well throughout their respective subjects .they are well literate and promote good quality education among the students....they give a brief knowledge of the subject
First of all , the placements are pretty decent and roi are really good for the upper branch like computer science, info tech , electronics instrumentation and electronics communication the average package is between the 9 lpa to 11 lpa

Dislikes

There was an annual fest called ayaam but it closed due to a fight between students during the event and now no such events in college.
The placement is decent but it has gone down severely in the recession period.
Many of the faculties are soo much good btw some of them are horrible as they do not support students.and i also dislike the 75% attendance criteria as it is not got for students who want to do other activities.

Likes

The environment is well and productive. The curriculum is revised every year.
The placement cell works actively for placement in good companies.
The faculty is good and teaches proactively each and every concept

Dislikes

The attendance criteria is strict for up to 75%.

Placement Experience:

there is very good placement status in this college almost about 150 plus companies visit this college every year with highest companies are Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, oracle. the college do also promote the studies higher study plans if you do not get placements

Life in SGSITS

Likes

The social life in SGSITS is something which one can look upto. There are a variety of clubs offering different kinds of events, etc.
The location of the college is another positive which SGSITS possess. As it is located in the centre of the city and its close proximity to almost everything.
If a student wants to seek more options during the graduation than SGSITS is a must go as there is no hard and fast rule of maintaining a good attendance and also college hours are also pretty flexible.

Dislikes

The infrastructure is something where SGSITS is lacking behind.
The percentage of On campus placements in branches other than CS, IT are below average. At the same time we can consider recession as the cause to it as well.
Cleanliness is something missing in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum in industrial part is quite advanced you get to learn a lot of things but in manufacturing part the course is little conventional. The labs in that aspect is not that well equipped. Yet theoretically there is a lot for a student to gain.

Those reviews are real are from my side and from my point of view one can have other point of view according to them

Likes

As in my college department i gained the practical knowledge by performin practicalls of different subjects
Environment of college is good aslo there are large number of facility to avail
There are number of clubs for extracurricular activiities for the student

Dislikes

Drinking facilty is not up to the mark as required
Also i the hostel facilities are not good as it should be
As it is a 1952 establishment college so infrasture is not soo good

As i always wanted to work in industry and gain pravtical exposure from there so i preffered this branch industrial and production engineering by my choice and i was lucky enough to be the part pf that department Curriculum preprae you woth the real world scenarios as well as real world application in such a way that this branch is a versatile branch a person who is taking his/her degree in this course and do anything and can fir anywhere in the industry beacuse the curriculum is designed in such a manne that it has 3 industrial training subjects along with somewhat majorly the subject of other branches too so it help student to gain onowledge in vatious fields

Likes

The very first thing i liked the location of the college it is perfect exactly in mid of indore
secondly placements of the college sgsits known for its placements
Third is social life and clubs are great

Dislikes

size of campus is small around 35 acresss
Machineries of labs are not working properly student face erroes in measurements
attendance and assingments are big problems here

Placement Experience:

Campus is known for its placements ,best placements companies like Goldman sachs,deutsche bank,mastercard visits camous for placements and internships also. Delloite offers around 30 to 40 offers and around total 100+ companies visit every years and around 800 offers given every year. Highest package is 50 lakhs per annum in GOOGLE by a student fron IT . Average package is around 8 LPA overall.For cs/it it is around 12 LPA. Around 80% eligible students get placed every year . I want to go in IT sector currently prepare for campus placements only.

My college my life

Likes

I enjoy being in the college as it's a government college so colour dress is allowed therefore no issues of carring a uniform
Campus life is very supportive as college has many clubs which gives a exposure and a chance to interact with seniors and learn various skills. Talking about me i am a member of alumni student club
The faculties in the first year were very freindly but teaching methods were not that good . Also we have very experience professors like ajnar sir who has a vast knowledge of electronic

Dislikes

The thing i most hate is attendance issue, there is a strict policy of maintaining a 75 percent attendance in the college or else we will be detained for exam
Another thing is campus size it's not that big to explore as it is made in 23 aces land
Next i would add is fighting culture of college between hostlers and day scholars.

The course teaches us many real life things . The curriculum not just is about classroom but mostly learning in labs adn workshops where we build we create and learn how to use the provided knowledge in real life. The labs are min 3 days in a week of 2 hours each subject . I think we could get more better faculty for workshop labs as they just tell the theory in labs also.

SGSITS Uncovered: academic, cultural and beyond!

Likes

College provided really a strong academic background along with maintaining balance in cultural and sports activities. Improvement could be removing the 75% attendance criteria so as students preparing for other exams will get enough time.
There are several cultural clubs in the college like kshitij , ojaswa and pratibimb.
Our college organize annual fest every march which is of 3 days and best time of college life.

Dislikes

I didnt liked the canteen of my college as it is not too hygeinic but around college we get enough options.
I didnt liked the 75% attendance criteria of my college as we get less time to prepare for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship and placement from 3rd year. There are several on campus opportunities in companies like Accenture, Infosys, mastercard etc. Average placement is around 6-7 lpa and highest is 25. Almost all students who work hard get placed. My plan is to do job for 2-3 years after graduation.

Beautiful four years

Likes

Thing I like most about college is teaching skills and experienced professors. They pationate about their job
Campus is too good. Playground for each and every game
College is not only for study but also focuses on other activities such as games, feat each and everything

Dislikes

Placement Experience:

From second year itself students are eligible for campus placement for internship. In third year for pre placement offer . In final year all the students got placed. I got placed through campus placement.

My College SGSITS

Likes

The atmosphere is very academic and student are very talented
The capus is green and well organised with eco friendly nature
The faculties are very educated and experienced

Dislikes

The campus is small and hostel facility are not too good
75% attendance is mandatory and in case of medical emergency only got 15% relaxation
Some department building are too old constructed

Placement Experience:

The placement of our college is very good The highest package offered last year was of 42LPA and the average Package is of 8 LPA. To sit in the placement students should maintain their CGPA above 7.5 to make them eligible for it. The companies that get visited are adani group, infoses, TATA motors, Reliance industries, Bridgestone etc.
