SGSITS Uncovered: academic, cultural and beyond!

Course curriculum is designed by the senior faculties of department and is really well structured. Number of examinations are good you get enough time to prepare for it. Subjects include DSA , oops , c++ , c , java , dbms , os , cn etc. These are the core subjects.

There are not much companies who provide internship to students but some of them are quantiphi which gives 20k around stipend, MasterCard which gives 40k stipend. You can include technical projects in your cv to make it strong. They can be a chat bot, ecomm website etc.

Students become eligible for internship and placement from 3rd year. There are several on campus opportunities in companies like Accenture, Infosys, mastercard etc. Average placement is around 6-7 lpa and highest is 25. Almost all students who work hard get placed. My plan is to do job for 2-3 years after graduation.

The year wise fee for my college is almost 100000. And for 4 years it will be 400000. Talking about caution money so its 5000 only. There is no such lab fees or development fees. If I talk about my batchmates so there fee is also same but due to category like sc st they get scholarship from mmvy or medhavi so they get full refund at end of the year. There is no merit required you just need to pass every semester.

There is a annual fest of our college named Aayam which is organized every year in month of march and is of 3 days. There are several cultural, technical, sports event in it. More clubs are kshitij , ojaswa , pratibimb. There is sports ground and a sports complex for indoor as well as outdoor sports like cricket ,volleyball, badminton,tennis etc.

I liked my college and chose it because it is a government college and 2nd best college of MP. First is NIT bhopal where I was getting ee branch and not cse hence I opted for sgsits so as to get cse. Admission process is completely based on jee mains score , simply by filling the mpdte counseling form.

There are around 20 faculties in each department and number of students are around 500 including all year students of a branch. I liked hod of our department , as she is a perfect combination of best teaching and understanding the student just by seeing him/her. Course curriculum is really well structured, there are 2 mid sem exam and one end sem exam along with several viwa and practical examination each year. Level is quite difficult but it is really helpful. Its really relevant.
