Everything you need to know about VIT Bhopal

As I am a student of Computer Science with specilization in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, I can clearly say that the curriculum my college is providing is actually relevant to the course i took, they are quite comprehensive with the modules, as there are 5 modules for each subject, every module gives us the understanding of the subject followed by our course. But still there should be improvement in the teaching structure of some teachers, instead of rushing to completing the syllabus they should try to educate more about the topic to us. Exams are very frequent in every month or 2 we expect an exam to be conducted may be it is a mid term or end term or class activities

There are many internships that are available in our college, many startups and big tech companies like microsoft, zomato, meesho hires intern usually in the 3rd year. Students do projects such as web dev, app dev, gen ai

The placements in VIT Bhopal is quite nice. The highest package offered in our campus is 70 LPA and the average package is between 7 to 11 LPA. The most famous companies that visits to the campus are Microsoft, Adobe etc. After degree i plan to do job

The fee structure in VIT Bhopal University is basically of 5 types/categories Category 1 students have to pay fees of 1,98,000 rs per year, Category 2 students have to pay fees of 3,07,000 rs per year, Category 3 has 4,05,000 rs per year, Category 4 has 4,48,000 rs per year and Category 5 has 4,93,000 rs per year. The above fees is of the tuition fees of the university that is to be given per year and this fees structure is of B.Tech

VIT Bhopal organizes many different events and fests. ADVITYA is the major fest that happens every year in February, in that event many celebrities and artists come to perform. they also organizes summer fest and winter fest. There are many different clubs of technical and non technical, and they also hosts many events. We do have a library with many different books involving the courses and curriculum based and also philosophical books. In classrooms we have projectors that work effortlessly and 90% of the faculties teaches the subject through projector. There are many sports events ranging from football, cricket, basketball, badminton and many others. ADVITYA Sports are held in february every year, competing with different colleges.

In VIT Bhopal we have 2 kinds of hostel, one are premium hostels and one is normal hostel. we also have AC and Non AC hostels and rooms. we have many different room types such as Bunker Bed type room and flat bed type room, 4 bedded bunker, 3 bedded flat, 2 bedded flat and 6 bedded bunk or flat. In bunker bed we have a table, a chair, a bed attached above the table, a fan(for every bunker) and an almirah that is attached and for flat there is a chair, fan, bed, almirah, table The menu and the quality of the food in the mess is quite good

I applied for many colleges from small to big such as BITS, KIIT, ITER, SRM. I had a mind plan that if i am not getting into any IITs or NITs. I will try to get into BITS or VIT, as BITS has so much higher fees I have to choose VIT, but my rank wasn't enough to get into VIT Vellore or Chennai in good branch and 1st category. I got acceptance from colleges like KIIT, SRM, LPU, ITER but i chose VIT Bhopal because it is affordable as i am in category 1 fees and it has better reputation. I got rejected from IIIT Hyderabad as i was not able to clear their interview round. The admission process of my college is quite simple. the eligibility is u should have science and PCM in class 12th with 60 percentage in 12th and 10th. For getting the admission in VIT students shoukd give an entrance exam called VITEEE in which questions of Physics, Chemistry, Maths and logical reasoning questions are asked

As our university provides FFCS system we can choose our own faculties and timing of the class. So it help students to choose their own faculties. Many Faculties are very nice, they interact with students very kindly, they give genuine marks and grade. The facultie's i liked personally are Kiran Kumar Behera sir, M R Thiyagu sir, Feeroz sir, Dawood Saleem sir. Teachers that are quite good are Juhi Yasmeen mam, MD Sultan sir, Benevatho sir. But some teachers such as Narendra Babu sir are very rude and fearful faculties. Exams are basically of two types- Mid term (50 marks 30% weightage) End Term (100 marks 30% weightage) for every semester in every subject, in which out of 5 modules of each subject 2.5 modules come in mid term and 5 modules come in end term. Internals are 40 marks which is very crucial Some subjects are quite easy to score and easily get passed while some subjects such as EEE and Calculus are very difficult subjects and students tend to fail more in this subjects for which they have to give supplimentary exam and if also they fail the supplimentary exam they have to re-register the course again and do all the classes for that subject again. The grading is basically of 2 types Relative Grading and Absolute Grading

Our college hostel authorities are a bit strict about discipline. The college in timing is of around 8:45 pm, after this timing you can not go out of the hostel. There are Gyms that are operational from 6 am to 10 am and again from 4 pm to 8 pm. Cafterias are very famous over here, we have cafetrias named MAYURI, BISTRO, AB's DAKSHIN which serves every food item and beverages and they usually close arounf 8 pm for boys and 6:30 pm for girls. If you are in a outing, you should reach the campus by 8 pm on that very day. Famous hangout places of VIT Bhopal are UnderBelly, Special Block ground floor, Garden near Chancellor's house, near LC building. You need to have permission to go out of the university and after going out of the university its only a highway so no hangout spot outside the campus
