Life at CET

Likes

The campus had a lot of scenery and was close to nature
There are a lot of helpful events happening on campus frequently.
The management process is very fast and efficient

Dislikes

Some of the faculty are not as good as you would expect

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of the college is very active. You can get internships starting 2nd year and placements starting 3rd year. About 75% of people get placed. Many MNCs like Texas Instruments are consistent hirers. The highest package of 2025 for my course is 1 crpa. The average is about 7 lpa. A student can get 5,6 offers. I plan on higher studies abroad because I want to learn more in-depth about the course.

Good the questions are well organised and quality of questions were good

Likes

The ambience and space is very very soothe and relaxing.
Politics are there so it help to develep other political skills
Lot of sports optionss colegge promote sportss highly so lot of different sports are there

Dislikes

Full of stray dogs here and theree and they are annoying
Teaching is ok ok some teachers are good in teaching while others are waste of tume

From 3 rd year onwards students are getting internship and placements Top companies like oracle and many like top companies visit the college Last year highest pacakage was 33lpa average around 7-8lpa Almost 80-90 get placed in cs department that what i know not sure about it I prefer to take msc outside india or go with a good placemebt still deciding

It's one of the most reputed engineering colleges in Kerala and our college admission is the toughest one to get.They offer many placement drives.
Beautiful campus surrounded by many an ecosystem consisting trees ,flowers,birds etc ,it's a relaxing space for many ones.
Good infrastructure compared to many colleges,there are indoors,workshops,gym facility, outdoor gym facility,drinking water, best classrooms with projector and speakers,library, ladies amenity center and so on.

Dislikes

There are many dogs in here ,not they are attackable but at sometimes they had larger number.
Infrastructure average at some departments
Drinking water may be unavailable at sometimes

Placement Experience:

Placements are highly offered here and it is one of the attractive features here. Many companies recruit here every year and take many students offering a high lpa. many companies like TCS,Texas, Accenture,09 solutions etc hire students from every department.

Likes

Teaching staff is much experienced. They also provide good presentation which makes the studying much easier.
The social life in college is too good. It will help to shape your perspective about your life.
The Seminar halls available are good. They are air conditioned and also have good facilities for presentation.

Dislikes

The infrastructure of some departments are too old.
College doesn't give much importance to the areas like music.
The facilities for sports are there. But not at all developed.

Placement Experience:

Our college have a special placement assist cell. So we get placement opportunities from a number of MNCs. You also get job opportunities from top tier companies. In computer science course almost 99% of the student getss placement.

Overview Of College Of Engineering - Trivandrum

Likes

The Faculty is very experienced. They have years of experience in their field and have graduated from reputed institutions.
College provides a ton of opportunities to explore your talents outside the academic field.
The college library is big and has a vast collection of books for every field of engineering.

Dislikes

The temperature is usually very high. Some days in summer are unbearable .
The faculty sometimes resort to teaching in malayalam which is difficult for non- keralite students to understand.
The college hostel has very less rooms and hence a lot of students have to live in PG's.

Placement Experience:

The placements of the college are decent. The average package is around 10,00,000 Rs per year. Companies like CRED, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, UST Global, Tiger Analytics, Mercedes,etc have visited the college. The highest package range from 25 Lakhs to 35 lakhs per annum. The number of students placed is usually above 85 % every year.

The college campus is vast. The peaceful atmosphere surrounding the region is great learning environment
Clubs within the college are extremely active. There are national level competitors for clubs of various facets.
Social and political opinions of each individual is given an opportunity to be represented

Dislikes

Overall waste management system of the college is often overwhelmed. This is largely due to the greater issue of improper waste management across the region.
Students are often asked to meet greater expectations while smaller meaningful goals are given less importance.
Labs and workshops often seem under equipped and not aligned to the present industrial scene

Placement Experience:

Students from Semester 6 start appearing for in campus placement drives. Students of circuital branches almost always secure a job before their completion of the course. Many companies like Amazon, Infosys, Texas Instruments, Tiger Analytics, Air India, Cred etc has visited the campus in the previous year and many students especially from Computer Science and ECE branches obtain good placements.
