Maitreyi College Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

There is a placement cell in a Maitreyi college which provides internship to their freshers so that they can add up in their resume. Almost 60% of the students got internships from our college in various companies. Salary packages depend on the companies they get intern. There are many societies in our college which make students put their efforts and serious about their future so that it is easy for them to get internships. My plan Is to prepare for UPSC after getting the degree.

I saw some companies in the college for placement interviews ,students of 5th semester become eligible for campus placements but I'm not a part of placement cell of the college so don't have much knowledge about it.

The college also provide the internships and placements , the interested student can get into the placement cell which is run by the students itself after clearing certain group discussion and interview . Once you'll clear the interview you will get opportunity to work with the placement cell which will provide you with the internships and these internships will help you to earn some handsome amount of money and will help you to build a strong resume of yourself. Even you will get to do work with the multinational companies and based on your performance you will be hired by these companies only.

I have no idea of placements because I have no experience of it. My plan is to crack UPSC examination after getting the bsc. Degree. All the students can't get packages of placements only a few students get it. Many students crack government exams after completing the courses or go for higher studies like msc. , PhD etc.

Placements of our course are not up to the mark. However, many companies visit the college at the time of the placement fair but I don't find them useful for my course. You can choose for an internship to enhance your CV

The placement cell is actually very good and provides a lot of opportunities. There is an annual internship fair also where 100s of companies come and recruit students of all years and all courses as interns and the maximum stipend for these internships even go to 10k per month for just a part-time internship. The job opportunities are there but not very good for the science stream, they are much better for commerce and humanities. There are many Tier A and tier B companies recruiting a good amount of students like VQMS, SMAASH and many NGOs also. The placement percentage is around 60% and most of the students want to do post-graduation for further growth. I have plans to do MBA after my graduation.

Locality of the college is very nice and pleasant Science teaching faculty was good Less travelling hours Campus atmosphere Admission was done through cutoffs and i got admitted in ist round of counseling in ist cutoff But the college is little strict as it is a girls college

Second and third-year students can participate in the Placement fair. The college has a placement cell for that.10-15 companies visit, but there are hardly any placements for BSc students. After getting the degree, one can go for MSC. One can apply for jobs or go for government jobs.

Good environment, renowned college, best department for physics, chemistry and maths, supporting teachers and staff.these were the factors that made me choose this institute, maitreyi college.

The faculty of the college is experienced and well versed in their subjects. They hold interactive sessions with the students and creates a friendly bond with their students which often eases the studies and ends the awkwardness and fear between teacher and student. The teachers leave no doubts uncleared and make sure that the students understand the concepts before moving on to the next topic. Some lecturers hold quite a high position in the university and commendable ranks. Companies like KPMG, info edge,Ernst & young and delloite and many more visit the college campus to provide placement to students. The process starts with separating the students as per their grades and then interviews are held, where they discuss their future plans, their grades, and the reason why they want to work in the specific field. More than 50% of students get placed. The seniors are quite helpful and supportive, they don't bully or conduct ragging rather help the freshers around the college campus and guide
