Campus, faculty, people of the college were very cooperative

Life in du (girls college)

Likes

Faculty , their teaching methods, mentor ship quality, they explain everything very nicely
Beautiful green campus, it has a lot of different species of trees with name tags so that you can also learn about nature
Nice infrastructure with recently new science block opened

Dislikes

Could have a little bit betrer infrastructure need better and bigger classrooms
Canteen needs to improved with proper hygiene
Should add more new edition books to the library

Internships Opportunities:

For sociology course, the internship opportunities are... We have a lot of college tie-ups with a lot of NGOs. People opt for different NGOs to work with. Like CURE INDIA. As sociology is mostly research work, so NGOs are the only options we have. Apart from this we have socities to join

The infrastructure of our college is quite good and the well maintained garden adds to its beauty.
The different societies which are run by students are quite popular in the whole University.
The library of our college is very huge and have all kinds of resource, and even we have access to digital library.

Dislikes

Tha canteen of our college is not that much good.
There are some issues related to drinking water also
The class rooms should be Aur Conditioned like staff room but it's not.

Internships Opportunities:

We have IAPC in which we can either go for research or internship and for that NGOs come for hiring interns for their office work and outreach program. Other than that there is a internship fair that is organised by placement cell in which students who want to participate do volunteer.

THE COLLEGE OF BEAUTIFUL GARDENS

i love the gardens of the college as they are well maintained and gorgeous
the amphitheatre its a open area in middle of the two buildings its just gorgeous and it feels good to sit there
the peacocks there are 2 to 3 peacocks in the camus and they are a sight to watch

Dislikes

the washrooms considering that its a girls college there is a significant lack of washrooms around ..
the canteen could be much better but right now its not the best.
the benches .in certain classrooms the benches are small and quite uncomfortable

There are many beautiful trees and plants
The classes in my college are very big and beautiful

Dislikes

I find the food in my college canteen a bit costly
My college is very far from my house so that's not good
The senior students of my college do not help the junior students at all

This is my first year of college that's why I haven't taken any internship yet. There are internship opportunities available in my college , but I haven't taken any internship yet So I don't have to much information about that .

All about Maitreyi college, University of Delhi

Likes

The first thing i noticed and appreciated was the beauty of my college garden. Everything was green and clean. you can easily witneAs peacocks during evening when the campus is pretty empty. The environment is very friendly for animals and birds.
People and teachers of my college is really friendly and co-operative. Our sociology department has the best teachers. Seniors are also very friendly and chill. The college gives various opportunities to interact with foreign exhange students
Another thing i like about my college is the college societies. It helps acquiring leadership qualities. It helps helps individuals to come out of comfort zone and socialize with others.

Dislikes

One thing about i don't like about this is college canteen. It is very untidy and various insects have been found.
Another thing i dislike is the timetable. There are usually long gaps like 3 hours in between the classes which waste the precious time of students.

Internships Opportunities:

The average intership stipend is 10,000 per month. Various companies like Bajaj capital and apna campus has given opporyunities to the students. They are given different roles such as content writing, event management, social media handle, finance advisor etc.

Life at Maitreyi: classes, cafés and campus

Likes

Faculty is very supportive. Professors are knowledgeable, approachable and offer excellent mentorship.
The college has numerous societies and students can join as many as they like. the societies are excellent for personal development, skill enhancement and making connections.
The infrastructure is also pretty good. In the library, you can find books related to your course and computer labs are well maintained. Classrooms are spacious and have good learning environment. Large sports ground and basketball court,

Dislikes

It is a woman’s college, providing a safe empowering environment, but lacking diversity in interaction.
Placements are decent, but career support could be better line with students aspirations.

Placement Experience:

Placement eligibility starts from the beginning of the third year, many companies, including some of the big falls visit the campus for recruitment. Placement cell frequently posts internship opportunities. and around 60% of students managed to secure placements mainly for commerce, students or those with commerce background. The average package range from 4-6 lakh per annum with higher offers for specific roles. After graduation, I either plan to pursue MBA or explore a job opportunities in finance.

The way the professors teach and the material which they provide are really beneficial for us students. And they create very educational environment which helps us to focus on studies and not get distracted in any ways.
The overall environment of our college is very good. Students are very helpful and well spoken in our college. And the campus life is very good
Throughout the day the environment is very good , and has a positive aura allover.

Dislikes

The college canteen. The quantity is compromised after the new tender has been passed. And the prices are not relevant.
The infrastructure, I think it could have been a bit more spacious since sometimes empty classes are not available and its a bit fuss to search around.

Placement Experience:

From the 5th and 6th semester the students are eligible for for campus placements. There are many companies who visit our college for recruitment,like Deloitte,google etc

My experience of Maitreyi college, Delhi University

Likes

Infrastructure. Absolutely love how they take care of the campus and maintain the beauty of it. We have rock garden and fountains and during spring thr garden gets filled with so many flowers. The college becomes to lively.
Teachers are very supportive and friendly and approachable. It makes the academic life easier.
Last but not the least. The Student' Union. If you're a part of the team you'll get to experience so many things and be a part of organizing the events, something which is very crucial part of every students' college life.

Dislikes

Canteen. The food is just above average and it mostly depends on which caterer is serving. The one working currently is kinda nice but the one before was amazing. In between there was one where the food wasn't nice.It mostly depends but good overall
Office staff. If you've any sort of work in the admin office, let me tell you they are kinda slow.
Internship Opportunities should've been more and legit.

Internships Opportunities:

deloitte and crowe lpp and pwc are few famous companies who comes to provide placements after graduation. there are multiple seminars held for the awareness and placement process be it cv vetting or interviews, gd, etc.

Likes

The college is in a safe place and has hygienic and clean environment. Also because it is an all girls college there is always a sense of security.
The college offers various kinds of internships paid / unpaid which are open to students from all courses.
The college offers extra curricular activities and societies which enhance the student experience

Dislikes

There are no Ac's in any of the classroom which make it difficult for students to attend classes in the scrotching heat.
The teacher's do not finish there syllabus on time and make the subject confusing for students.
The canteen and the food there is not very hygenic

Internships Opportunities:

Delloite , bajaj capital , tech for india , internshala ,edcofa etc offer internships for students which range from 5000 to 50000. The highest internship stripend was 50000 and the average is 5000 - 8000. Makerting , desk job etc are supposed to be done by people doing internships
