What is the reservation policy followed at USICT Delhi?

USICT Delhi offers the reservation policy as standardised as per the guidelines of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University as follows:85% seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Delhi region.15% seats are reserved for foreign nationals, foreign students or students belonging to outside Delhi region10% seats are reserved for management quota27% of the total seats are reserved for the OBC category students.

What is the general opinion of USICT Delhi?

Students claim that USICT is the 5th best college in Delhi after IIT, NSIT, DTU, IIT respectively. It's a government college, so one would know its value. The fees of the college is very less d to all the other colleges in Delhi (private/government). Seats are very limited, so one can say there is less competition for placements. Placements are getting better day by day. USICT is one the University's Main Campus due to which you'll have many special benefits. Attendance here is not that much of an issue. One of the major disadvantages is that many students are from reserved category or from spot-counselling which degrades the quality of students, although some students are very good among them. The teaching staff is not good. Many teachers don't have that quality to make the concept understandable. Although it is situated in IPU main campus, it's still slow in terms of performing activities under time.

How good is the curriculum and faculty at USICT Delhi?

The curriculum of the college is extremely useless, especially the first year. Youll have subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and their respective labs which will suck the life out of you ( especially those old USBAS teachers wholl do nothing but shout at you out of frustration and youd have to strive even to get passed in such subjects. The IT faculty is the most relaxed for the students and if youd go through your 1st-year mark sheets, youd see that the maximum marks scored by you are in IT subjects only { fundamentals of computing and DSA}. There are research opportunities too from the 1st year for students planning to go for MS/PhD afterwards, and the faculty is very open towards it but they wont invite you for research, you have to approach them yourself. The opportunities are high as the student count is low ( 180 in each batch).

What is the eligibility for placements at USICT Delhi?

USICT Delhi follows the eligibility rules & regulations given below.Successfully completed the semester examinations/course with a CGPA equivalent to 6 or higher, and with no active backlogs.Satisfactory conduct with no disciplinary action throughout the program.Good attendance record in their courses and has good participation in Placement Activities (Guest Lectures/ Seminars/ Conferences/ Industry Visits etc).

What is the placement scenario of BTech at USCIT Delhi?

Students claim that BTech students have a 98% chance of getting placed in USIT. If one is in CS/IT, they might get an offer greater than INR 5 LPA, or else most of the students are placed in TCS or Infosys. Many people prefer to go for higher studies, especially from the ECE branch. The placement success of students is totally attributed to the student merit itself, and not to the Placement Cell or the faculty.

What is the placement scenario after doing only BTech from USICT (GGSIPU)?

Students and alumni report that a company which visits every year is TCS, which places half of the candidates of USICT, offering around INR 3.5 LPA. That placement opportunity is based on your percentage criteria and your performance at the time of interview. One must prepare themselves with their aptitude, verbal and communication skills because TCS rounds of interviews are also not easy. Other companies visit with higher packages in the band of INR 4 LPA-INR 16 LPA. The packages are based on your branch and percentage criteria. Some companies which hire for CSE & IT, don't allow ECE to sit for placements. Similarly, companies which hire for ECE don't allow CSE and IT candidates to appear for placements.

USICT college worth it or not

Fees and Financial Aid:

when i have taken admission my fees was 70000 and hostal fees of 40000. but from 2022 onwards the fees is incresed to 132000 as tustion fees and 40000 as hostel fees.there scholarship schemes available at government sites like EDISTRICT schemes are ews,merit cum means scholarship.Campus employment is based on totally your skills and companies visited in this university is very less

Likes

Only three courses are offered at University School of Information communication and technology.
Since we only have three courses that is computer science, information technology and electronic engineering the batch size is low.

Dislikes

Since most students are inclined towards coding we are not able to take electronics topics as electives.
Electronics is suffering, we were not able to opt for vhdl which is a good topic for electronics students.

The fee structure has significantly changed and I am not quite aware of the new breakdown. There are many scholarship that one can prevail, ews , college scholarships for minorities. Our college has a unique scholarship opportunity for 3rd year students called Prakhar Dua scholarship. In this every aspect like Sports, cultural activities and. Studies are taken into account for scholarship and covers the whole college fee for the 3rd year.

USICT true review

The fees has been increased since 2022 batch and keep on increasing at a drastic rate. The college provides some scholarship which changes annualy on the basis of family income the scholarship amount may vary from 35k -40k . The placement opportunities are not so good the overall all ROI is negative.

College Life at USICT

In 2019 the fees of the course was around 70k for the first years and after that 62k for further years. In 2021 there was some increase in the fee structure. There are various types of scholorships available for the students like Edistrict etc. There are various factors on which your scholarships amount will be depends.Campus will provides us various types of internships and job opportunity like i have done summer traning program from ACM USICT in 2022.

Journey of USICT

University provide scholarship to their students and delhi government also provide financial aid to students . Students need to score 60 percent overall in semester . Every year University will hike the fee but as compared to other universities fee of USICT is too lower

USICT - the dream college of a middle class student

Fees of this college are very low as compared to other affiliated colleges of ipu. The fees of btech for the first year is around 79000 with one time refundable amount of 5000. And the fees for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year is around 73000. There are very low fees the college charge a student coming from the middle class or lower middle class can afford this college fee conveniently. Apart from this college provides you with various scholarships for different categories. One can apply for the scholarship by choosing their suitable category and fulfil the other conditions of scholarship also. One major scholarship is provided by the Delhi government under merit cum financial assistance, most of the students are eligible for this scholarship. Remember all scholarships are provided only on tuition fees of the college.

Usict honest review

The fee is payable one time which is 70,000 per annum. The scholarship is available to the students who are good in academics. Various government and as well as private scholarships are available.

Review of USICT

I haven't opted for any type of scholarship or education loan, But I think the college has some partnership with NSS and provides decreased fees to those who avail it, in addition to belonging to EWS and maintaining a certain cutoff of GPA
