USICT - the dream college of a middle class student

Admission criteria are very simple. Admission in this college in BTech programs is only based on jee main score and there are no seats of management quota. After jee main you have to fill ipu BTech admission form then after few days, they ask you to fill your choices accordingly. Then after all that bassed on your jee main score and the preference that you filled in choice filling college is allotted to you if you are satisfied with the course and college allotted for you then you have to freeze your seat in case if you are not satisfied with college and course wait for another round. There are a total of 3 rounds done in BTech counselling. Spot round also occurs if there are vacant seats left in colleges under ipu. The whole process, described above occurs through online mode only. If a seat is allotted to you and you want to join the college then after the completion of all counselling rounds you have to report to the college for further verification. Then your admission is done.

The faculty at usict is well educated, this college gives you a good quality of teachers all teachers are supportive and are very well qualified with a decent experience of teaching. All teachers want to do one to one interaction with students so as to solve their problems as possible as they can. I can say that if you join this college you will not feel regret. Now coming on to course curriculum, since USICT is a main campus of ipu so the course curriculum is slightly different from other affiliated colleges of ipu. Exams dates are different from other affiliated colleges exam dates and the paper pattern is also different from other colleges of ipu. I join this college because the faculty members are very good and supportive in nature and also this college provides good opportunities to their students.

Fees of this college are very low as compared to other affiliated colleges of ipu. The fees of btech for the first year is around 79000 with one time refundable amount of 5000. And the fees for 2nd, 3rd and 4th year is around 73000. There are very low fees the college charge a student coming from the middle class or lower middle class can afford this college fee conveniently. Apart from this college provides you with various scholarships for different categories. One can apply for the scholarship by choosing their suitable category and fulfil the other conditions of scholarship also. One major scholarship is provided by the Delhi government under merit cum financial assistance, most of the students are eligible for this scholarship. Remember all scholarships are provided only on tuition fees of the college.

Annugoonj is the annual fest. InfoXpression is the tech fest of usict, Apart from these various activities and small fest are also organised by the college at various levels. Annugoonj is conducted in the month of February but for the last two years it is not being connected due to the pandemic (COVID) but I am sure when the situation is under control all the fest are conducted at the same time as previously when they are conducted. Coming on to the library, the library is a full air conditioning library with also having computers in it. The library contains a good amount of study material as required by the course curriculum. One can join various societies in USICT there are different societies for different things all are cooperative and supportive they encourage students to do something apart from their course and also provide opportunities to the students who join the society.
