Remarks

The management is extremely slow and 'sarkari' about their jobs, having absolutely 0 respect for students or what the problems they're facing. The WIFI of our hostel has been not working for a full year of some floors, and even after multiple complaints, no action has been taken. There are literally dozens of complaints I can write but I'd rather not, it's too frustrating. 2/10 for management.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course curriculum is decently structured, however the actual implementation and teaching standards are not. The course is exam oriented, so is the teaching methodology. Practical Labs are not held because of little to no resources hence mugging up the theory for the examinations is the most one can get out of this course. One or two industrial visits were organized to nearby ECE related company in Noida.

Placement Experience

0.5

Placement is probably the worst factor in the college. Last year, around 40 companies came, more than half of which do not allow ECE students to sit at all. The average package offered to CSE/IT students was 5 LPA, and for ECE it was 4 LPA. I would argue that only about 40% of the batch size can be considered to be placed, excluding the mass campus drive by TCS(3.2 LPA). In the 3rd year, only 1 company comes to conduct an internship drive, which is Nagarro. This year, they didn't come either. Basically, it's everyone for himself/herself in this college, since the college provides negligible resources and opportunities.

College Events

3

Technical : InfoXpression by USICT Non-Technical : Anugoonj by GGIPU Anugoonj is massive since all the colleges affliated to this university participate in this and the footfall is of generally 1-2 Lakh people in the totality of 3 days. Participation is also decent since there are many colleges involved. InfoXpression is not such a large-scale event and generally only a maximum of 250-500 students actually attend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is one of the reasonable pros of this college. It's around 70k per year for the tuition, and 60k for mess + hostel. The payment mode of both online and Demand Draft is accepted. Fee-breakdown is transparent and no extra charges are asked for admission.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't opted for any type of scholarship or education loan, But I think the college has some partnership with NSS and provides decreased fees to those who avail it, in addition to belonging to EWS and maintaining a certain cutoff of GPA

Campus Life

4

Campus life is what you make of it. The campus is well maintained and is of 60 acre size. Extracurricular is optional and is not integrated with the course or has any credits associated. Labs are mostly broken down with 90% of the machines or apparatus not working. Competitions are generally organized by different societies present in the campus, however I cannot comment on the participation or quality of them since I haven't taken part in any of them.

Hostel Facilities

4

Yes, I have opted for hostel. The Hostel rooms are very good and maintained, the same cannot be said for the facilities provided within. A single room is allotted to everyone which is a pretty good to have facility, However, the water supply is not evenly distributed in different floors since most of them are broken, and elevators tend to break down every week. There are 2 hostels of 9 floors each, with each floor having about 25 rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

No official Alumni network exists far as I know (I'm in 3rd year), and interaction with senior students depends completely on the student himself/herself. For someone who is as introverted as me, the interaction is 0 and its basically me and my friends who have to figure college on our own, as I've done for the past 3 years.

Admission

Through IPUCET. My rank was 311, I took Btech ECE in the top college of IPU, namely USICT. I chose it because I wanted to pursue engineering. An Entrance test is held, followed by 3 rounds of online counselling, and 1 spot round. I took admission in July 2017

Faculty

2

The professors' age from 28 y/o to 50 y/o, it's difficult to decide an average. The teaching style is average at best and at least until the 2nd year, only 1-2 lecturers are actually experienced faculties in the subjects they teach. 0 industry related knowledge was imparted by these lecturers as well. Qualification of some professors are decent, while others are simply MTech's from this college only.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
