The admission process is entirely based on the NIMCET entrance exam. One should achieve a good rank in the NIMCET entrance exam in order to get admission to this college. The eligibility for getting admission in MCA is that you should have math's or computer science in your bachelors and have got at least 55% marks in your bachelors.  If I talk about reservations, IPU reserves around 60% of the seats for Delhi students. Ipu terms "Delhi students" as those who are from Delhi or have cleared their bachelor's degree from some Delhi institute.

USICT updated its syllabus in 2020, and now it is entirely technical and its syllabus is different from other IPU colleges. I had chosen this course because of my interest in development. I only wanted to go on the development side. The faculty-to-student ratio is approximately 2:8. All the faculties are PHD qualified or some of them are pursuing PHD. The teaching method is pretty good, but the thing is, all the students used to focus only on placements rather than academics. The term exams are mostly held in the months of May and December. You can easily clear the exam by scoring good marks in internal exams. You should earn 40 marks out of 100 in order to get passed, and there is also a passing grade of 6 marks in order for you to get passed.

You will get many internship opportunities starting from the second semester. Many companies visit our college, such as Myways, Grapecity, etc. They come mostly for technical profiles such as front-end developer, back-end developer, or testing. The company mainly looks for knowledge of DSA, oops, and DBMS. You can specify some basic projects also.

The placements of USICT are the best among all the colleges of IPU. Every average to top student will get a good placement here. You will get an ample number of opportunities here. And the whole team of placement cells is also very cooperative. You will get internship opportunities from the second semester itself and full-time opportunities from the third semester and continue till the end of the fourth semester. The highest package is 45 LPA, and the minimum package is around 3.5 LPA. Around 90% of students have got placed.  I am currently working as a software developer at Alternative Path.

IPU also offers an EWS scholarship, which is for the economically weaker section and your family income should not be more than 2.5 lakhs. I have got various offers from Cognizant, Grapecity, VectoScalar, and Alternative Path. Among all the options, I had chosen an alternative path.

USICT also comes up with a coding society where time-to-time coding sessions are conducted. Other than that, there is a placement cell which also performs well in polishing the skills of students by conducting different webinars.
